Lamikon (spray)

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: terbinafine;

1 g of drug contains a terbinafina of a hydrochloride in terms of 100% anhydrous substance of 0,01 g;

excipients: the benzoic acid (Е 210), polyethyleneglycol (macrogoal) the 20th cetostearyl ether, propylene glycol, half-oxameasures 407, dinatrium эдетат, water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Terbinafin is алиламин, has a wide range of antifungal action. Terbinafin in the corresponding concentration has fungicidal effect concerning dermatophytes, mold and some dimorphous mushrooms. Activity of rather barmy mushrooms, vzavisimost from their look, can be fungicidal or fungistatic.

Terbinafin specifically oppresses an early stage of biosynthesis of sterols in a cellular membrane of a mushroom. It results in deficit of ergosterol and to intracellular accumulation of squalene that leads to death of a cell of a mushroom. Terbinafin acts by skvalenepoksidaza enzyme inhibition in a cellular membrane of a mushroom. This enzyme does not belong to system of P450 cytochrome. Terbinafin does not influence metabolism of hormones or other medicines.

At topical administration drug is practically not soaked up, quickly begins to work, shows efficiency at short-term treatment (7 days).

At external use drug is absorbed less than 5% of the applied dose therefore system exposure of a terbinafin insignificant.

Indications to use:

The fungal infections of skin caused by dermatophytes; multi-colored deprive.

Route of administration and doses:

Spray Lamikon is intended only for external use.

Before use of drug it is necessary to clear and dry affected areas of skin carefully. Drug is sprayed on affected areas of skin in the quantity sufficient for their careful moistening, and, besides, applied on adjacent sites of healthy skin.

Duration of treatment and frequency rate of use depends on indications:
epidermophitias of feet and a trichophytosis of smooth skin – 1 time a day within a week;
multi-colored deprive – 2 times a day within a week.

It is not necessary to adjust a dose for patients of advanced age.

Reduction of symptoms of a disease usually is expected within several days.

Non-systematic use or the premature termination of treatment leads to emergence of a recurrence of a disease. If there are no improvement signs in a week of treatment, it is necessary to see a doctor.

Features of use:

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Lamikon during pregnancy it is possible to apply only in that case when the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit.

Lamikon spray should not be applied during feeding by a breast.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Does not influence.

Children. It is not recommended to use drug for treatment of children.

Side effects:

In sites of application of spray there can be reddenings, feelings of an itch or burning, however need for the treatment termination in this regard arises seldom.

Emergence of such allergic manifestations as an itch, skin rash (including violent), a small tortoiseshell is observed seldom, but demands drug withdrawal. Therefore in case of any side reactions it is necessary to see behind consultation a doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is unknown.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a terbinafin and to other components of drug.

Appropriate security measures at use.

It is necessary to avoid hit of drug in eyes. It is impossible to put spray on a face. In case of accidental hit of spray in eyes or on the person it is necessary to wash out urgently them flowing water.

Overdose:

About cases of overdose it was not reported.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 2 years. Not to use drug after the termination of the period of validity specified on packaging. To store at a temperature not over 25 ºС. Freezing is not allowed. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
