Siberian salmon plus

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: кетоконазол – 20 mg/g, пиритион zinc – 10 mg/g.

Excipients: a basis of shampoo of Velko SX 200 (ethylene glycol monostearate, ethylene glycol distearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, диэтаноламид coconut oil of fatty acids and моноэтаноламид coconut oil of fatty acids), propylene glycol, a gipromelloz, silicon dioxide colloid, imidourea, magnesium aluminosilicate, dye an azoruby, Acidum hydrochloricum concentrated Swiss Bouquet fragrance, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Ketokonazol, synthetic derivative an imidazole-dioksalana possesses antifungal action concerning dermatophytes, such as Trichophyton spp., Epidermophyton spp., Microsporum spp and drozhzhepodobny mushrooms, such as Candida spp and Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum ovale).
Zinc пиритион - possesses anti-proliferative action on epiteltalny cells and shows antifungal activity concerning Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare causing an excess peeling of skin.
Cato's shampoo plus quickly reduces a peeling and an itch of head skin which usually are associated with dandruff and seborrheal dermatitis.

Pharmacokinetics. Absorption of active ingredients through skin at topical administration is insignificant. As even at prolonged use the maintenance of a ketokonazol and zinc of a pirition in blood is not defined, it is possible to come to conclusion that drug does not possess systemic action.

Indications to use:

Treatment and prevention of damages of skin and the pilar part of the head caused by yeastlike microorganisms of Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum ovale), such as a chromophytosis, seborrheal dermatitis of a pilar part of the head and different types of dandruff.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly to apply shampoo for 3 – 5 minutes on affected areas of skin and a pilar part of the head, then to wash out water.
Course of treatment
at a chromophytosis - daily within 5 – 7 days,
at seborrheal dermatitis - 2 times a week within 1 month.
Prevention
chromophytosis – daily within 3 – 5 days,
seborrheal dermatitis of a pilar part of the head – once a week within 1 month.

Features of use:

When using shampoo it is necessary to avoid hit it in eyes. In case of hit of shampoo in eyes it is necessary to wash out them water.
For prevention of a syndrome of "cancellation" at prolonged topical treatment glucocorticosteroids (GKS) recommend to continue topical administration of GKS in combination with Cato's shampoo plus with the subsequent gradual cancellation of GKS within 2-3 weeks. In rare instances strengthening of a hair loss was noted at use of shampoo of Cato plus.

Side effects:

The Siberian salmon plus is usually well carried. As well as when using other shampoos the local irritation and an itch can be noted. Hair can become fat or dry. Usually when using shampoo of Cato plus such phenomena are noted seldom. In some cases, generally at patients with chemically injured or gray hair, discoloration of hair was noted.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

As at topical administration drug components are practically not soaked up, use of shampoo during pregnancy and a lactation is not contraindicated.

Overdose:

When using shampoo of Cato plus development of overdose is not supposed as drug is intended only for external use. At accidental intake of special measures it is not required. For prevention of aspiration it is forbidden to cause vomiting or to use a gastric lavage.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature not above 25 °C.
To store in the place, unavailable to children.

On 5, 10, 60, 75, 80, 100 or 150 ml of drug in a polyethylene bottle with the screwing-up polyethylene cover. On 1 bottle with the application instruction in a pack from a cardboard.
