Ноопепт®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: ноопепт (ethyl ether N - фенилацетил - L - prolilglitsina) – 10 mg,

Excipients: potato starch – 13,5 mg, lactose monohydrate – 55 mg, cellulose microcrystallic – 21,2 mg, magnesium stearate – 0,3 mg, povidone – 0,0008 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

Ноопепт® has nootropic and neuroprotective properties. Improves ability to training and memory, affecting all phases of processing: initial information processing, consolidation, extraction. Interferes with development of the amnesia caused by an electroshock, blockade of the central cholinergic structures, glyutamatergichesky receptor systems, deprivation of paradoxical phasa of a dream.
Neuroprotective (protective) action of Noopepta® is shown in increase in resistance of brain fabric to the damaging influences (an injury, a hypoxia, electroconvulsive, toxic) and weakening of a damage rate of neurons of a brain. Drug reduces center volume on trombotichesky model of a stroke and prevents death of the neurons in culture of tissue of cerebral cortex and cerebellum treated to action of neurotoxic concentration of a glyutamat, free radical oxygen.
Ноопепт® has antioxidant effect, antagonistic influence on effects of excess calcium, improves rheological properties of blood, having anti-aggregation, fibrinolitic, anticoagulating properties.
The nootropic effect of drug is connected with formation of the cycloprolylglycine similar on structure to the endogenous cyclic dipeptide having anti-anamnestic activity and also with existence of holinopozitivny action.
Ноопепт® increases amplitude of the transkallozalny answer, facilitating associative bonds between cerebral hemispheres at the level of cortical structures.
Promotes recovery of memory and other cognitive functions broken as a result of the damaging influences - a brain injury, local and global ischemia, prenatal damages (alcohol, a hypoxia).
Therapeutic effect of drug at patients with organic disorders of the central nervous system is shown, since 5-7 days of treatment. In the beginning the activities of Noopepta® which are available in a range anxiolytic and easy stimulating the effects which are shown in reduction or disappearance of alarm, an acrimony, affective lability, sleep disorders are implemented. After 14-20 days of therapy the positive impact of drug on cognitive functions, parameters of attention and memory comes to light.
Ноопепт® possesses vegetonormalizuyushchy action, promotes reduction of headaches, orthostatic disturbances, tachycardia.
At drug withdrawal the withdrawal is not observed.
Has no the damaging effect on internals; does not lead to change of cellular composition of blood and biochemical indicators of blood and urine; does not possess immunotoxic, teratogenic action, does not show mutagen properties.

Pharmacokinetics. Ethyl ether N - фенилацетил - L - prolilglitsina, being absorbed in digestive tract, in not changed look comes to a system blood stream, gets through a blood-brain barrier, is defined in a brain in big concentration, than in blood. Time of achievement of the maximum concentration averages 15 min. Plasma elimination half-life of blood – 0,38 h. Partially remains in not changed look, it is partially metabolized with formation of phenylacetic acid, a fenilatsetilprolin and cycloprolylglycine. Has high relative bioavailability (99,7%), does not kumulirut in an organism, does not cause medicinal dependence.

Indications to use:

Disturbances of memory, attention and other cognitive functions and emotional and labile frustration,
including at patients of advanced age, at:
• effects of a craniocereberal injury
• post-accident syndrome
• vascular brain insufficiency (encephalopathies of various genesis)
• asthenic frustration
• other states with signs of decrease in intellectual productivity.

Route of administration and doses:

Ноопепт® it is applied inside, after food. Treatment is begun with use of drug from the dose 20 mg distributed on two receptions on 10 мгв a current of day (in the morning and in the afternoon). At insufficient efficiency of therapy and at good tolerance of drug the dose is raised to 30 mg (see. "Special instructions"), distributing it on three receptions on 10 mg during the day. It is not necessary to accept drug after 18 hours. Duration of course treatment makes 1,5 – 3 months. The repeated course of treatment if necessary can be carried out in 1 month.

Features of use:

In need of increase in a dose of drug (to 30 mg/days), at prolonged use, and also at simultaneous use with other drugs, emergence of side reactions or an aggravation of symptoms it is necessary to see a doctor.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible. At patients with arterial hypertension, generally heavy degree, against the background of administration of drug rise in arterial pressure can be observed.

Interaction with other medicines:

Interaction of Noopepta® with alcohol, hypnotic drugs and antihypertensives and drugs of psychogogic action is not established.

Contraindications:

Pregnancy, lactation period. Age up to 18 years. Hypersensitivity to drug components. Deficit of lactase, lactose intolerance, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption. The expressed abnormal liver functions and kidneys.

Overdose:

Specific manifestations of overdose it is not established.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
