General characteristics. Structure:
Main physical and chemical properties: tablets of color, white or white with a grayish shade, with a camphor smell. On a surface existence of a mramornost is allowed; Structure: 1 tablet contains Bromcamphoras of 0,25 g; excipients: potato starch, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, sodium of a krosskarmelloz, polyvinylpirrolidone low-molecular medical.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacokinetics. It is easily soaked up by a mucous membrane of digestive tract and distributed on an organism, collecting generally in extracellular liquid. Accumulation of bromine in an organism depends on balance of chlorides: at deficit of salts of chlorine bromides collect in large numbers, partially replacing chlorides; excess intake of chlorides interferes with accumulation of bromides. Bromides slowly are removed by kidneys. Allocation from an organism can continue up to 2 months, at a renal failure removal is slowed down.
Indications to use:
The increased nervous irritability, neurasthenia, hysteria, sleeplessness, asthenic syndrome, chorea, cardioneurosis, initial stage of an idiopathic hypertensia.
Route of administration and doses:
Appoint inside after food: the adult – on 1-2 tablet 2-3 times a day, to children at the age of 7-10 years – on 1 tablet (0,25 g) 2 times a day, to children at the age of 10-14 years – on 1 tablet (0,25 g) 2-3 times a day. Maximum daily dose: for adults – 1,5 g; for children at the age of 7-10 years – 0,5 g; for children at the age of 10-14 years – 0,75 g. A course of treatment – 10-15 days.
Features of use:
At prolonged use tolerance development is possible. At administration of drug against the background of a diet with restriction of consumption with food of table salt (to 5-10 g of salt) strengthening of sedation is possible. With care persons whose activity is connected with control of vehicles or performance of the work requiring special attention because of possible drowsiness and decrease in concentration of attention should apply.
Side effects:
Block, drowsiness, dispeptic phenomena, allergic reactions.
Interaction with other medicines:
Potentiation of effect is observed at a concomitant use with the drugs oppressing the central nervous system.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to camphor or bromides, a liver and/or renal failure, pregnancy, children's age (up to 7 years), feeding by a breast.
Overdose:
Symptoms: at reception of high doses development of the phenomena of "bromism" is possible: irritability, ataxy, memory easing, dysarthtia, tachycardia, mydriasis, conjunctivitis, rhinitis, coated tongue. Treatment: drug withdrawal and purpose of 10-20 g/days of sodium chloride with a large amount of water (3-5 l/days).
Storage conditions:
To store in the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from +15 °C to +25 °C.
