Deoxyribonuclease

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: it is made of a pancreas of cattle and represents the lyophilized powder or the porous weight condensed in a tablet, color, white or white with a weak cream shade. Drug is sterile, non-toxical, апирогенен.

The deoxyribonuclease - the enzyme depolymerizing deoxyribonucleic acid suppresses synthesis of virus DNA and by that DNA reproduction - the containing viruses detains (viruses of group of herpes, adenoviruses, etc.). Drug causes also fluidifying of purulent contents of abscesses, empyemas, the complicated wounds.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Development of viruses of herpes, adenoviruses, etc. the viruses containing DNA detains. The effect is connected with DNA depolymerization to mono - and oligonucleotides by splitting of internucleotide bonds. Suppressing synthesis of virus DNA, the deoxyribonuclease does not damage DNA of cells of a macroorganism. Causes a depolymerization and fluidifying of pus. Has proteolytic, antiviral effect.

Indications to use:

The deoxyribonuclease is applied at the viral diseases caused by DNA - the containing viruses: at a herpetic keratitis, keratouveita, adenoviral konjyuktevita and keratokonjyuktevita, shingles (Herpes zoster) with defeat of intercostal nerves, a trifacial of the person, etc.; recurrent herpes simplex of any localization (bays, area of generative organs, etc.), acute katara of upper respiratory tracts of the adenoviral nature; at suppurative processes in lungs: a bronchoectatic disease, abscesses of lungs, not resolved pneumonia and atelectases, and also for reduction of viscosity and evacuation of a phlegm in the preoperative and postoperative periods at patients with purulent processes, tuberculosis and tumors of lungs.

Route of administration and doses:

At a herpetic keratitis and keratouveita enter under a conjunctiva daily on 0.5 ml during 2-4 weeks and 3-4 times a day dig in in a conjunctival sac on 2-3 cap 0.2% of solution. For prevention of a recurrence continue to enter within 6-10 days after permanent improvement. At adenoviral conjunctivitis - in a conjunctival cavity 1-2 cap of 0.05% of solution each 1.5-2 h during the day. At acute katara of upper respiratory tracts solution is dug in in a nose or applied in the form of an aerosol; inhalations - 10-15 min. 2-3 times within 2-5 days (on 3 ml of 0.2% of solution). At suppurative processes in lungs enter in the form of an aerosol at the rate of 1 ml within 10-15 min. 3 times a day within 7-8 days. Spend 3 ml of solution for each inhalation.

Features of use:

There are data on efficiency of drug at an acute viral hepatitis, herpetiform eczema of Kaposha; in these cases appoint parenterally in specialized clinics.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions; increase of attacks at patients with bronchial asthma.

Hypersensitivity.
