Kromogeksal of inhalation

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: кромогликат dinatrium – 20 mg.

Excipients: the purified water.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Kromogeksal treats antiallergenic anti-inflammatory antiasthmatic drugs. Active agent in this drug is kromoglitsiyevy acid. At systematic use it leads to reduction of symptoms of an allergic inflammation in respiratory system. Kromoglitsiyevy acid brakes both early, and late stages of allergic reaction, interfering with degranulation of mast cells and allocation of inflammation mediators from them (a histamine, bradikinin, medlennoreagiruyushchy substance, leukotrienes). Thanks to these properties, Kromogeksal warns the bronchospasm caused by contact with allergen or other provocative factor (cold air, physical tension, a stress). Besides, it allows to reduce reception of other antiasthmatic means (bronchial spasmolytics, glucocorticoids). Effect of drug develops gradually. In 4-6 weeks of use of Kromogeksal the frequency of attacks of bronchial asthma decreases. Treatment has to be long. At drug withdrawal resuming of attacks of bronchial asthma is possible. For stopping of attacks of bronchial asthma drug is not used.

Pharmacokinetics. After introduction in the inhalation way the maximum concentration of kromoglitsiyevy acid is reached approximately in 15 minutes. Kromoglitsiyevy acid is poorly soaked up from digestive tract. Only 8% of the entered dose are exposed to system absorption. The elimination half-life makes 46-99 minutes (on average about 80 minutes). Kromoglitsiyevy acid is not metabolized. She is brought from an organism in not changed view with urine and bile approximately in equal quantities. Other part of drug is brought out of lungs with current of expired air, or settles on stomatopharynx walls, then is swallowed (and without essential absorption – less than 2%) and brought out of an organism through a digestive tract.

Indications to use:

Prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma (including asthma of physical effort) at children and adults.

Route of administration and doses:

Adults (including elderly people):
On contents of one bottle (20 mg / 2мл) 4 times a day, whenever possible, in equal time intervals. Use frequency if necessary can be increased to 6 times.
At achievement of optimum therapeutic effect it is possible to pass to the maintenance dose providing optimum control of a disease.
The initial course of therapy has to make at least 4 weeks. Duration of therapy is defined by the attending physician.
After achievement of therapeutic effect it is not necessary to stop suddenly drug use Kromogeksal. In need of phase-out of Kromogeksal drug withdrawal is made gradually within a week. During a dose decline resuming of symptoms of a disease is possible.
Inhalation should be made by means of a special inhaler – the nebulizer, through a front mask or a mouthpiece. For opening of a bottle break off the upper marked part of a one-time bottle.

Features of use:

Kromogeksal, solution for inhalations, it is not necessary to use for removal of bad asthmatic attacks.

At prolonged use regular control of a condition of function of a liver and kidneys is necessary.

Side effects:

Drug can cause irritation of upper respiratory tracts, a hoarseness, cough, a short-term bronchospasm. In case of the repeating bronchospasm do previously bronchial spasmolytic inhalation, and cough calm reception of water right after inhalation.
Treat the unusual undesirable occurrences: an anaphylaxis, headaches and dizziness, the painful or complicated urination, nausea and rash.
After drug withdrawal the exacerbation of bronchial asthma, eosinophilic infiltrate of a lung is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drugs of Bromhexine and Ambroxol should not be inhalated along with Kromogeksal's solution.
Kromoglitsiyevy acid can be accepted in combination with bronchial spasmolytics and glucocorticosteroids.
At the accompanying therapy by bronchial spasmolytics they need to be accepted before Kromogeksal's inhalation. The maintenance dose of glucocorticosteroids usually manages to be reduced, and in some cases and completely to cancel. During a dose decline of glucocorticosteroids of the patient has to be under careful observation of the doctor: rate of a dose decline should not exceed 10% a week.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any components of drug.

Preventions:
For stopping of bad attacks of bronchial asthma drug is not used.
Treatment of patients to an impaired renal function and a liver has to be done under constant control of the doctor (it is necessary to consider expediency of a dose decline).
Children under 5 years should not appoint drug.

Overdose:

Kromoglitsiyevy acid possesses a hypotoxicity therefore the risk of overdose and development of any toxic phenomena is small.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C in the place protected from light.
To store in the place, unavailable to children.
Bottles are intended for disposable!
In case of the wrong storage solution can get yellowish coloring, after that drug should not be used!

Solution for inhalations of 20 mg / 2 ml.
On 2 ml in one-time polyethylene transparent bottles.
On 10 bottles in a sheaf. On 5 or on 10 tapes in a cardboard pack together with the application instruction.
