General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: sodium кромогликат (20,0 mg).

Excipients: a benzalkoniya chloride, sodium chloride, dinatrium эдетат, sorbitol liquid uncrystallized, dihydrophosphate sodium a dihydrate, hydrophosphate dinatrium dodecahydrate, sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Antiallergic means, has membrane stabilizing effect, blocks receipt of calcium ions in a mast cell, preventing its degranulation and release of a histamine, bradikinin, prostaglandins, leukotrienes (including slowly reacting substance) and other biologically active agents. Drug is most effective as prophylactic. The noticeable clinical effect occurs in several days or weeks after reception.

Pharmacokinetics. Absorption through a mucous membrane of an eye is insignificant. System bioavailability - less than 0,03%. An elimination half-life - 5-10 minutes. Communication with proteins of plasma – 65%. It is not metabolized, removed by kidneys and through intestines in not changed look (approximately in equal quantities within 24 hours after use).

Indications to use:

Prevention and treatment:

- allergic conjunctivitis;
- allergic keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis;
- syndrome of "dry" eyes, overstrain, excessive fatigue of eyes;
- the irritation of a mucous membrane of eyes caused by allergic reactions (environment factors, professional harm, means of household chemicals, cosmetics, ophthalmologic dosage forms, plants and domestic animals).

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 4 years are aged more senior dig in 1-2 drops in each conjunctival sac 4 times a day with an interval of 4-6 hours. If necessary it is possible to increase a dose to 6-8 instillations.
After achievement of therapeutic effect the frequency of use of Kromogeksal it is possible to reduce and use drug only at contact with allergens (house dust, disputes of mushrooms, pollen).

Features of use:

At use of drops, because of contents a chloride benzalkoniya, it is necessary to avoid carrying soft contact lenses; rigid contact lenses need to be removed in 15 min. prior to an instillation and to dress in 15 minutes.
The bottle needs to be closed after each use. It is not necessary to touch with a pipette tip an eye.
Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms:
During treatment it is necessary to be careful during the driving of motor transport and occupation other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Disturbance of clearness of visual perception, burning in an eye, a chemosis, feeling of a foreign body, a xerophthalmus, dacryagogue, a meibomitis (barley); superficial defeat of an epithelium of a cornea.

Interaction with other medicines:

Reduces the need for use of the ophthalmologic drugs containing glucocorticosteroids.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a kromoglikat of sodium or to any other component of drug

With care:
- children's age up to 4 years
- pregnancy and period of a lactation.

Overdose:

Data on overdose of drug are absent.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C in the place protected from light.
