Rotokan

General characteristics. Structure:

For receiving 1000 ml of drug use: 

Camomiles flowers of-500 g 

Marigold flowers of-250 g 

Yarrow grass of-250 g 

Excipients: alcohol (ethanol) of 40% - enough before receiving 1000 ml of drug.

Pharmacological properties:

Has local antiinflammatory effect, has haemo static and spasmolytic properties.

Indications to use:

In stomatology: inflammatory diseases of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity and parodont of various etiology (aphthous stomatitis, periodontal disease, язвенно­ necrotic gingivostomatitis). 

In a gastoroenterologiya: gastroduodenit, chronic enteritis and colitis (in complex treatment).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, locally, rektalno. Rotokan is applied in the form of aqueous solution which is prepared before use by addition 1 of a teaspoon of drug on a glass of warm boiled water. At good tolerance it is possible to increase a dose to 3 teaspoons by a glass of water. 

At diseases of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity solution of drug is applied in the form of applications (15-20 minutes) or poloyekaniye (1-2 minutes) by 2-3 times a day, within 2-5 days. Treatment of diseases of a parodont is carried out after removal of tooth deposits and a scraping of pathological gingival pockets. Enter into gingival pockets for 20 minutes the thin turundas which are plentifully moistened with drug solution. The procedure is carried out 1 time a day daily or - every other day, only 4-6 times. 

In a gastoroenterologiya drug is used inside and in microclysters (rektalno). 

Inside apply on 1/3-1/2 glasses of aqueous solution (60-100 ml) in 30 minutes prior to food or in 40-60 minutes after food, 3-4 times a day. Course of treatment 2-3 weeks. 

Microclysters on 50-100 ml of aqueous solution of drug apply after a cleansing enema 1-2 times a day. Course of treatment of 3-6 days.

Features of use:

As a part of drug not less than 33% of alcohol contain. In the maximum daily dose of the aqueous solution received by addition 1 of a teaspoon of drug on a glass of warm boiled water, the content of absolute ethyl alcohol makes about 3,2 g. In the maximum daily dose of the aqueous solution received by addition 3 of teaspoons of drug on a glass of warm boiled water, the content of absolute ethyl alcohol makes about 9,5 g. At drug use inside it is necessary to refrain from occupation potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including control of vehicles, work with moving mechanisms). At storage loss of a deposit is possible. Before use contents of a bottle are recommended to be shaken up.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance to drug components.

Overdose:

So far overdose cases are not registered by drug. 

At use of drug in the doses exceeding recommended dizziness, nausea, vomiting are possible. 

Help measures: to cancel administration of drug, a symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature from 8 to 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
