General characteristics. Structure:

International and chemical name: Nikethamidum; N, N-dietilpiridino-Z карбоксамид;
main physical and chemical properties: transparent, colourless or slightly yellowish or greenish liquid with a peculiar smell;
structure: 1 ml of solution contains 0,25 g of diethyl amide of niacin;
excipients: water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Drug stimulates the central nervous system and especially at a reduced tone of a vasomotor center - the respiratory and vasomotor centers. Excitement of a respiratory center is partially caused by the reflex stimulating influence on chemoceptors of carotid balls. Drug does not possess a direct promoting effect on heart and the direct stimulating vasoconstrictive effect.

Pharmacokinetics. It is well soaked up in blood at various ways of introduction, collapses rather quickly and brought out of an organism by kidneys in the form of inactive metabolites. The main metabolites are niacin monoethylamide, niacinamide, Nikethamidum-N-oxide and niacin.

Indications to use:

Kordiamin-Darnitsa apply at an acute collapse and asphyxia, depressed cases at surgeries and in the post-operational period, acute and chronic disorders of blood circulation, decrease in a tone of vessels, weakening of breath at infectious diseases and during recovery, at asphyxia of newborns, poisoning with narcotic, somnolent and analgetic means.

Route of administration and doses:

Kordiamin-Darnitsa enter subcutaneously, intramusculary, intravenously. Subcutaneously, intramusculary and intravenously adult enter in a dose 1 - 2 ml of 1 - 3 time a day; to children subcutaneously depending on age enter 0,1 - 0,75 ml in a dose. Intravenous administration is carried out slowly.
At intoxications drugs, analgetics, somnolent the adult intravenously slowly enter 3 - 5 ml of drug (it is possible to enter also under skin and into muscles). 
The highest doses for adults subcutaneously: one-time - 2 ml, daily - 6 ml, the highest single dose for hypodermic and intravenous administration at poisoning with drugs makes 5 ml.

Features of use:

As subcutaneous and intramuscular injections Kordiamin-Darnitsa are painful, for reduction of pains depending on a situation into the place of an injection previously enter novocaine (to adult - 1 ml of 0,5% of solution, children - according to age).

Side effects:

The concern, muscular twitchings beginning with circular muscles of a mouth, face reddening, an itch of integuments, vomiting, disturbance of a cordial rhythm.

Interaction with other medicines:

Analeptical action of Kordiamin-Darnits decreases under the influence of PASK, Saluzidum, derivatives of a fenotiazin (aminazine, etc.). Aminazine and Reserpinum can strengthen convulsive action of Kordiamin-Darnits. The pressor effect of Kordiamin-Darnits increases under the influence of MAO inhibitors.
Kordiamin-Darnitsa promotes development of intolerance of Ftivazidum. Drug reduces the oppressing action of deprimi-ruyushchy funds for TsNS (anesthetics, somnolent and others).
Against the background of a deep anesthesia Kordiamin-Darnitsa has no effect.
Kordiamin-Darnitsa is inactivated by acids and alkalis.

Contraindications:

Kordiamin-Darnits's use is contraindicated at predisposition to convulsive reactions.

Overdose:

Overdose is not defined, but there are data that in high doses drug can cause spasms, even a lethal outcome.

Storage conditions:

To store in the place protected from light. A period of validity - 5 years.
