General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredient - Nikethamidum of 250,0 mg.
Excipient - water for injections to 1,0 ml.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. Analeptical means mixed like action (stimulation of the central nervous system, direct and reflex excitement of the respiratory and vasomotor centers). The mechanism of action develops their 2 components: central and peripheral.
The central mechanism is connected with the direct influence on a vasomotor center of a myelencephalon leading to its excitement and the mediated increase in system arterial pressure (especially at initial oppression of this center).
The peripheral component of the mechanism of action is connected with excitement of chemoceptors of a carotid sine that leads to increase in frequency and depth of respiratory movements.
Does not exert direct impact on cardiovascular system.
Pharmacokinetics: Absorption - high, does not depend on a way of introduction. Is exposed to bystry metabolism in a liver with formation of inactive metabolites. Removal generally kidneys.
Indications to use:
- collapse;
- asphyxia (including newborns);
- shock at surgeries and in the postoperative period;
- respiratory depression and blood circulations at infectious diseases.
Route of administration and doses:
The drug is administered intravenously, intramusculary and subcutaneously.
To adults and children 14 years are more senior enter subcutaneously, intramusculary and intravenously in a dose of 1-2 ml 1-3 times a day.
Intravenous administration is carried out slowly.
To children - subcutaneously, depending on age, in a dose of 0,1-0,75 ml.
As subcutaneous and intramuscular injections of the drug Cordiaminum are painful, for reduction of morbidity it is previously possible to enter Procainum (Novocaine) of 1 ml of 0,5% of solution.
The highest doses for adults subcutaneously: one-time - 2 ml, daily - 6 ml.
Features of use:
There are no data on safety of use for pregnant women.
Side effects:
The uneasiness, muscular contractions (beginning with circular muscles of a mouth), dermahemia of the person, itch of integuments, vomiting, morbidity in an injection site, allergic reactions.
Interaction with other medicines:
Strengthens effects of psychostimulants, antidepressants.
Reduces action of narcotic analgetics, somnolent, antipsychotic and neuroleptics, anxiolytics.
The effect is reduced by aminosalicylic acid, Opiniazidum, derivatives of a fenotiazin and medicines for the general anesthesia.
Convulsive effect of drug strengthens Reserpinum and aminaziya.
The pressor effect of Nikethamidum increases under the influence of monoaminooxidase inhibitors.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, predisposition to spasms (in the anamnesis), a hyperthermia at children, pregnancy, the lactation period.
Overdose:
Overdose Symptoms: toniko-clonic spasms.
Treatment: symptomatic.
Storage conditions:
To store in the place protected from light at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Packaging:
Solution for injections of 250 mg/ml on 1 ml or 2 ml in an ampoule.
5 ampoules place in a blister strip packaging from a film polyvinyl chloride.
1 or 2 blister strip packagings together with the application instruction and the scarificator ampoule place in a pack from a cardboard.
5 or 10 ampoules together with the application instruction and the scarificator ampoule place in a box from a cardboard for a retail container with a corrugated insert.
When packaging ampoules with a point or a ring of a separation the scarificator is not put.
