Hondromed Plus

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 600 mg of chondroitin of sulfate of sodium salt, 750 mg of a glycosamine of a hydrochloride.

Excipients: anhydrous citric acid, fructose.

The steady combination of substances with hondroprotektivny action, prevents processes of destruction of a joint cartilage, stimulates recovery of cartilaginous tissue.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Effect of drug Hondromed plus is caused by the components which are its part. Chondroitin sulfate – mucopolysaccharide and one of cartilage components. Differs in high ability to connect water, thus, provides mechanical and elastic properties of a cartilage. At degenerative processes in joints the reduction of reserves of chondroitin of sulfate in cartilaginous tissue caused by specific lytic enzymes is observed. As a result of loss of ability to connect water, deterioration in a degeneration of a cartilage and function of joints progress.

Chondroitin in vitro sulfate suppresses the elastases destroying a cartilage. Use exogenous leads administration of chondroitin of sulfate to recovery of metabolic balance.

Clinical performance: clinical trials showed that at sulfate chondroitin use pain disappears or decreases and in most cases mobility of joints improves.

The glycosamine – vvedny an exogenous glycosamine provides nonspecific protection against chemical injury of a cartilage. To other opportunities action of a glycosamine is protection of the injured cartilage against the metabolic destruction caused by NPVP and GKS and also own moderate antiinflammatory action.

Pharmacokinetics. Chondroitin sulfate. After intake the maximum concentration of drug in plasma is reached in 3-4 hours, in synovial fluid – in 4-5 hours. Bioavailability makes about 13%. More than 70% of chondroitin of sulfate are soaked up in a digestive tract. Absorbed in a GIT drug collects in synovial fluid. Drug is removed from an organism by kidneys.

Glycosamine hydrochloride. It is quickly soaked up in a small intestine. Bioavailability makes 25-26% (due to effect of "the first passing" through a liver). After distribution in fabrics the highest concentration are observed in a synovial membrane, cartilaginous tissue, a liver and kidneys. It is metabolized in a liver with an ureapoiesis, water and carbon dioxide. It is removed preferential with urine in an invariable look, in very insignificant degree – with a stake. An elimination half-life – about 70 hours.

Indications to use:

Symptomatic treatment of degenerative and dystrophic diseases of joints and backbone: osteoarthrosis of the I-III stage, osteochondrosis.

Route of administration and doses:

For intake. Contents of a bag should be dissolved completely in a glass of water and to drink right after preparation.

Hondromed plus is appointed to adults and children 12 years on 1 bag of 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening) within the first month of reception are more senior; in the next days on 1 bag of 1 times a day.

The minimum duration of treatment makes 2 months. The optimum mode of dosing and duration of a course of treatment are defined by the doctor.

Features of use:

With care patients should appoint with bleedings, and also to patients with tendency to bleedings. It is necessary to be careful at appointment to patients with the expressed renal and liver failure.

Drug is not used at children aged up to 12 years.

Drug does not exert impact on ability to management avtostransporty and to occupation potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention.

Use of drug at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation due to the lack of the data confirming safety of its inclusion at women during this period is not recommended.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: in some cases - a meteorism, diarrhea, a lock, pains in epigastriums.

Allergic reactions: in some cases - urticaria, an itch.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use Hondromeda Plus with other medicines strengthening of effect of indirect anticoagulants, antiagregant, fibrinolitik is possible.

At the combined use Hondromed plus increases absorption of tetracyclines, reduces - semi-synthetic penicillin, chloramphenicol.

Let's combine with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticoids.

At combined use strengthens antiinflammatory and analgesic effect of NPVS.

Contraindications:

- individual intolerance (including hypersensitivity in the anamnesis) drug components;

- pregnancy and period of a lactation;

- children aged up to 12 years.

Overdose:

Are in rare instances possible manifestation of symptoms of a perdozirovka from digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; at a long prem rezmerno of high doses hemorrhagic rashes are possible. Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light and moisture at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
