General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: white, translucent ointment with a strong specific smell.
Structure: 1 g of ointment contains menthol of racemic 30,5 mg, camphor of racemic 52,5 mg, methyl-isopropyl phenol of 1 mg; fir oil of 0,0555 ml, eucalyptus oil of 0,015 ml, muscat oil of 0,0055 ml.
Excipient: vaseline.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The mechanism of effect of drug is caused by active ingredients, being a part of drug. Irritates nerve terminations, expands arterioles and capillaries that promotes development of the distracting and anesthetizing action. Shows locally — irritating, analgeziruyushchy, moderate antiinflammatory, antiseptic, spasmolytic actions.

Pharmacokinetics. It was not studied.

Indications to use:

 Joint pain and muscles, neuralgia, miositis, arthritis, mialgiya, arthralgia, rheumatism, sciatica; complex therapy of acute respiratory diseases, followed by rhinitis, feeling of a congestion of a nose, cough, a headache.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly for grindings. To adults and children 6 years are more senior ointment is applied a thin layer by 2–4 times a day:

at muscle, joints pains rub in skin of an affected area, from above apply a warm bandage;

at cold or at a nose congestion ointment is applied on the unimpaired skin of wings of a nose;

at the cough connected with catarrhal diseases, ointment is applied on upper sites of a thorax and neck and in 3–5 minutes carefully rubbed the easy massage movements;

at a headache ointment is applied on skin of temples.

 

To children   from 2 to 5 years ointment is applied a thin layer on the upper site of a back by 2–3 times a day, but   at all not on a face and wings of a nose.

The course of treatment makes 3–5 days.

Features of use:

It is necessary to avoid hit of ointment in eyes and on mucous membranes. It is not necessary to apply ointment on the injured skin.

At rubbing in in skin there is a cryesthesia, then warmth, weak burning and a pricking.

After each use of ointment carefully to wash hands. At strong irritation of skin of rubbing in it is necessary to stop.

With care to apply ointment during pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible (urticaria, an itch, erubescence, rashes).

Interaction with other medicines:

 It is not known.

Contraindications:

The hypersensitivity to drug components damaged or the inflamed skin, open wounds on sites of use, bronchial asthma, to children up to 2 years.

Overdose:

Messages on cases of overdose are absent.

Storage conditions:

To store in densely corked container at  a temperature up to 25 °C, in protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity — 3 years.
