Adzhikold

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 500 mg of paracetamol, 10 mg of Phenylephrinum hydrochloride, 2 mg of chlorphenaminum maleate, 30 mg of caffeine.

Excipients: sodium carboxymethylstarch, povidone, propylene glycol, starch corn, methylparahydroxybenzoate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, dye sunset yellow, talc, cellulose microcrystallic, magnesium stearate, water.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The combined drug. Paracetamol - an analgetic antipyretic. Has febrifugal and analgetic effect, chlorpheniramine possesses antiallergenic and antiedematous action. Reduces permeability of vessels, eliminates puffiness and a hyperemia mucous a nose, suppresses symptoms of allergic rhinitis, facilitating breath. Fenilefrin has vasoconstrictive effect, promoting thereby elimination of a congestion of a nose and reduction of allocations from a nose. Caffeine has the stimulating influence on the central nervous system that leads to reduction of fatigue and drowsiness, to increase in intellectual and physical effeciency.

Indications to use:

— a symptomatic treatment of catarrhal diseases, flu, the SARS which are followed by a rhinorrhea, fever, joint pains and muscles.

Route of administration and doses:

Adult: on 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily dose - 4 tablets.

Children are 6-12 years old: on 1 tablet 1-4 times a day.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Protivpokazano at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation.

Use at abnormal liver functions. With care at a liver failure.

Use at renal failures. With care at a renal failure.

Use for children. Contraindicated to children up to 6 years.

During treatment it is necessary to refrain from alcohol intake. It is necessary to be careful when performing the work demanding concentration of attention, speed of motor and mental reactions. Adzhikold is not recommended to children up to 6 years, to pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Side effects:

At administration of drug in the recommended doses, side effects arise seldom.

If there are side effects, they can be shown in the form of allergic reactions, dizziness, a sleep disorder, a hyperexcitability, nausea, a headache, dryness in a mouth.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not necessary to accept Adzhikold together with other drugs containing paracetamol.

Strengthens effects of MAO inhibitors, sedative drugs, ethanol.

Antidepressants, protivoparkinsonichssky means, antipsychotic means, fenotiazinovy derivatives increase risk of development of an ischuria, dryness in a mouth, locks.

Glucocorticosteroids increase risk of development of glaucoma.

Paracetamol reduces efficiency of diuretic drugs.

Chlorpheniramine along with MAO inhibitors, furasolidone can lead to hypertensive crisis, excitement, a hyper pyrexia.

Tricyclic antidepressants strengthen sympathomimetic action, co-administration of a halothane increases risk of development of ventricular arrhythmia.

Reduces hypotensive action of a guanetidin who, in turn, increases alpha адреностимулирующую activity of Phenylephrinum.

Contraindications:

— hypersensitivity to drug components;

— a concomitant use of other drugs containing the substances which are a part Adzhikold;

— concomitant use of tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, beta adrenoblockers;

— pregnancy, lactation period;

— children's age (up to 6 years).

With care: at deficit glyukozo-6-fosfatdegidrogenazy; diseases of blood, liver and/or renal failure, closed-angle glaucoma, benign hyperplasia of a prostate; Gilbert's syndrome, arterial hypertension, diseases of a thyroid gland, diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma.

Overdose:

Drug should be accepted only in the recommended doses. The overdose is caused, as a rule, by paracetamol. Are possible: pallor of integuments, anorexia, nausea, vomiting; гепатонекроз; increase in activity of "hepatic" transaminases, increase in a prothrombin ratio. At the phenomena of overdose it is urgent to see a doctor.

Treatment: a gastric lavage with the subsequent purpose of absorbent carbon; symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the places unavailable to children. A period of validity - 3 years.
