Klenbuterol

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent:: 0,001 mg (0,000001 g) of a klenbuterol of a hydrochloride;
1 dosing spoon (5 ml) contains: 0,000005 g of a klenbuterol of a hydrochloride.
Excipients: sorbite, glycerin, propylene glycol, sodium citrate, citric acid, methylparahydroxybenzoate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, butylparahydroxybenzoate, Natrium benzoicum, "forest raspberry" essence, the distilled water.

Description
Klenbuterol represents transparent, colourless, slightly viscous liquid with sweet taste and a haraterny smell of forest raspberry.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Drug possesses the long and expressed broncholitic action as a result of impact on r2-adrenoceptors of bronchial tubes. Klenbuterol stops and the bronchospasm warns. Improves mukotsiliarny clearance. Has tokolitichesky effect: lowers a tone and sokratitelny activity of a myometrium.

Pharmacokinetics. Drug is characterized by high activity, bystry and full absorption at intake. High concentration in plasma are created in 15 minutes after one-time reception and observed within 7 - 24 hours  therefore   in comparison with other sympathomimetics drug is appointed in much smaller doses and apply to prolonged treatment of bronchial asthma and obstructive bronchitis including at children. It is removed preferential through kidneys (about 80%).

Indications to use:

Bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive bronchitis, emphysema of lungs and other bronchopulmonary diseases with a bronkhoobstruktivny syndrome.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside.
To children up to 8 months at the body weight of 4-8 kg appoint 2 times a day 2,5 ml; to children of 8-24 months (body weight of 8-12 kg) - 2 times on 5 ml; to children of 2-4 years (body weight of 12-16 kg) - 2 times on 7,5 ml; children are 4-6 years old (body weight of 16-22 kg) - 2 times on 10 ml; children are 6-12 years old (body weight of 22-35 kg) - 2 times on 15 ml.
To children 12 years and the adult - 2-3 times a day on 15 ml are more senior; a maintenance dose - 2 times a day on 10 ml.

Side effects:

Tachycardia, premature ventricular contraction, headache, allergic reactions in the form of skin rash. Dryness in a mouth, nausea, a lowering of arterial pressure is possible. In some cases at the beginning there can be a tremor of hands or poorly expressed feeling of concern which demand a dose decline.

Interaction with other medicines:

Beta adrenoblockers are antagonists of a klenbuterol and can eliminate effect of drug. At simultaneous use with cardiac glycosides кленбутерол breaks a cordial rhythm and increases their toxicity. Disturbances of a rhythm are observed also at a combination therapy with MAO inhibitors and theophylline. Klenbuterol reduces effect of insulin and glucose-lowering drugs - sulfanylurea derivatives. In a combination with sympathomimetic means toxicity of drug amplifies.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a klenbuterol, the first trimester of pregnancy and just before childbirth, a thyrotoxicosis, the acute period of a myocardial infarction.

Overdose:

According to classification of Hodge and Sterner at use inside кленбутерол treats srednetoksichesky substances. At overdose the easy tremor of extremities, concern and tachycardia which pass after reduction of a dose can be observed by drug.

Storage conditions:

In original packagings, in the closed warehouse, in the place protected from a direct sunlight, at a temperature from 15 to 30 °C. To store in the places unavailable to children!
