Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The complex of biologically active agents of the plants which are a part of the drug Diareks-Himalaya provides antidiarrheal, antimicrobic, antioxidant, spasmolytic and antiinflammatory effect of drug. Plants as a part of drug show a wide range of pharmacological activity.

Antimicrobic activity: against E. Coli — Aegle marmelos, Punica granatum, Tinosporacordifolia, Holarrhena antidysenterica; against S. Typhi — Aegle marmelos, Holarrhenaantidysenterica; concerning V. Cholerae – Punica granatum, Aegle marmelos; inhibit growth of Salmonella — Holarrhena antidysenterica, Aegle marmelos; growth of Shigella — Holarrhena antidysenterica, amebitsidny action show Holarrhenaantidysenterica, Tinosporacordifolia, Aeglemarmelos, Punicagranatum. Anthelmintic action Punicagranatum, Aegle marmelos, Cyperus rotundus possess. Holarrhena antidysenteriea, Aegle marmelos and Punica granatum have antidiarrheal properties due to impact on a hyper secretory phase of acute and chronic infectious diarrhea. The knitting action at diarrhea of various genesis is provided by Punica granatum, Holarrhena antidysenterica. The enveloping, adsorbing and protective properties — the calcinated sink of a mollusk. Antioxidant and cytoprotective action: Tinospora cordifolia, Aegle marmelos, Punica granatum and Cyperus rotundus possess powerful antioxidant membrane stabilizing action. Antiinflammatory activity: Aegle marmelos, Cyperus rotundus and Punica granatum promote reduction of expressiveness of an inflammation of digestive tract. Tinosporacordifolia is known as the effective immunomodulator possessing hepatoprotective and antiulcerous action. The spasmolytic and normalizing motility action: Aegle marmelos reduces spasms and stomach aches; Cyperus rotundus is effective at disturbance of motility of intestines.

Drug does not break own intestinal microflora. Synergistic action of components causes efficiency of the drug Diareks-Himalaya at acute and chronic diarrhea of various genesis, a syndrome of the angry intestines and dysbacteriosis.

Indications to use:

Diarrhea of various origin: food, allergic, infectious (bacterial, protozoan, virus). Syndrome of the angry intestines. Dysbacteriosis. Drug is used as a part of complex therapy as supportive application of treatment.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside. Between meals.

To children from 6 do14 years — on 1 tablet 2 times a day.
To adults and children 14 years — on 2 tablets 2 times a day are more senior.

Duration of a course of treatment of acute diarrhea — 2–7 days. Duration of a course of therapy of chronic diarrhea, a syndrome of the angry intestines, dysbacteriosis — from 2 to 6 weeks.

In case of need after a 2-week break the course of therapy can be repeated. At severe forms of diarrhea the frequency and duration of reception can be increased.

Features of use:

Pregnancy and lactation. It is not recommended to appoint drug pregnant. In the period of a lactation it is necessary to resolve an issue of the breastfeeding termination.

It is necessary to trace symptoms of disturbance of water and electrolytic balance and to take measures for their elimination by compensation of the lost liquid and electrolytes. If within three days of treatment symptoms of diarrhea do not disappear, the condition of the patient worsens, administration of drug it is necessary to stop and address the therapist, the infectiologist or the gastroenterologist.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Use of drug with other medicines applied to stopping of a syndrome of diarrhea is possible. 

Use of drug in a complex with antibiotics, antiviral means and intestinal antiseptic agents increases efficiency of therapy and reduces expressiveness of side effects of chemotherapy.

Combined use with the adsorbents knitting and the enveloping means can lead to decrease in efficiency of drug therefore between administration of drug and adsorbent there have to pass not less than 3 hours

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, intestinal impassability, acute dysentery with a chair with impurity of blood and fever. Children's age up to 6 years.

Overdose:

Data on overdose are absent. In case of overdose the symptomatic treatment is applied.

Storage conditions:

In the dry place at  a temperature from 10 °C to 30 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 3 years. Not to apply after a period of validity.

Packaging:

Tablets. On 100 tablets in a plastic bottle from polyethylene of high density with the screwed cover. The neck of a bottle is in addition tightened by aluminum foil with the trademark of firm applied on it. Each bottle with the application instruction is placed in a cardboard pack.
