Voltaren® Emulgel®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 1,16 g of diclofenac diethyl amine that corresponds to 1 g of diclofenac of sodium.
Auxiliary substances; diethyl amine, карбопол 974 P (polymer of acrylic acid), цетомакрогол 1000, цетиол LC, isopropyl alcohol, paraffin liquid, aromatic cream 45, propylene glycol, the water purified.

Description: Homogeneous, creamy gel. Color: from white to yellowish.

Pharmacological properties:

Active component diclofenac - the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug having the expressed analgeziruyushchy and antiinflammatory properties. Not selectively oppressing type cyclooxygenase 1 and 2, breaks metabolism of arachidonic acid.

Voltaren® Emulgel® is used for elimination of a pain syndrome and reduction of the puffiness connected with inflammatory process. At the recommended way of putting drug no more than 6% of diclofenac are absorbed.

Indications to use:

Posttraumatic inflammation of soft tissues and joints, for example, owing to stretchings, retension and bruises /
Rheumatic diseases of soft tissues (tendovaginitis, bursitis, defeats of periartikulyarny fabrics)
The pain syndrome and puffiness connected with diseases of muscles and joints (pseudorheumatism, osteoarthrosis, radiculitises, lumbago, sciatica).

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. To adults and children 12 years drug are more senior apply on skin 3-4 times a day and slightly rub. The necessary amount of drug depends on the size of a painful zone. A single dose of drug - 2-4 g (that on volume is comparable according to the size of cherry or walnut). After putting drug of a hand it is necessary to wash up. Duration of treatment depends on indications and noted effect, (gel can be applied to strengthening of effect together with other dosage forms of Voltarena®). After 2 weeks of use of drug it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

Features of use:

Voltaren® Emulgel® should apply only on the unimpaired skin, avoiding hit on open wounds. After drawing it is not necessary to apply an occlusive bandage. It is not necessary to allow hits of drug on eyes and mucous membranes.

Side effects:

Local reactions: eczema, a photosensitization, contact dermatitis (an itch, reddening, puffiness of the processed site of skin, a papule, a vesicle, a peeling).

System reactions: generalized skin rash; allergic reactions (small tortoiseshell, Quincke's disease, bronkhospastichesky reactions); photosensitization.

Interaction with other medicines:

Voltaren® Emulgel® can strengthen effect of the drugs causing a photosensitization. Clinically significant interaction with other medicines is not described.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other components of drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NPVP, "aspirinovy" asthma, pregnancy (the III trimester), the lactation period, children's age (up to 12 years), disturbance of integrity of integuments.

With осторожностыо: Hepatic porphyria (aggravation), digestive tract erosive cankers, heavy abnormal liver functions and nights, chronic heart failure, bronchial asthma, advanced age, pregnancy of I and C trimester.

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Drug cannot be used in the III trimester of pregnancy. Experience of use of the drug Voltaren® Emulgel® - in the period of a lactation is not available. Use in I and II trimesters is possible only after consultation with the doctor.

Overdose:

Extremely low system absorption of active components of drug at external use makes overdose almost impossible.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 3 years Drug should not be used after the expiry date designated by <EHR> on packaging.  At a temperature below 30 °C, in the place unavailable to children.

Packaging:

Gel for external use of 1%. On 20 g and 50 g in the aluminum tuba supplied with a protective membrane with a plastic cover. The tuba together with the instruction but to use is packed into a cardboard box.
