General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: 10 mg, 20 mg of a nitrendipin.

Pharmacological properties:

Nitrendipin – a dihydropyridinic blocker of calcium channels of the II generation with high vascular selectivity which selectively suppresses penetration of Ca2 + in cells of smooth muscles of walls of blood vessels. Weakening tension of smooth muscles of vascular walls, causes a vazodilatation and a lowering of arterial pressure. Biological availability of a nitrendipin — 20 — 30%, an elimination half-life — 8 — 12 hours, is distinguished preferential with urine.

Indications to use:

Essential arterial hypertension.

Route of administration and doses:

The dose and duration of therapy are established by the doctor individually. Reception of 10 mg 2 times a day or 20 mg of 1 times a day is usually recommended, in case of need it is possible to raise gradually a dose to 20 mg 2 times a day. Not to exceed the maximum daily dose of 40 mg of a nitrendipin a day. At elderly patients and patients with the expressed abnormal liver function it is recommended to begin therapy with a dose of 10 mg of 1 times a day.

Features of use:

Grapefruit juice increases hypotensive action and emergence of some undesirable effects of a nitrendipin therefore during therapy it is impossible to drink grapefruit juice. Drug is photosensitive therefore it is necessary to store tablets in original packaging.

Side effects:

Palpitation, tachycardia, in an initiation of treatment stenocardia attacks, a headache, face reddening, peripheral hypostases. Less often: itch, urticaria, photosensitivity.

Interaction with other medicines:

Nitrendipin is metabolized by means of a tsitofrom of P‑4503A4. Rifampicin reduces effect of a nitrendipin. Beta-blockers or other hypotensive drugs can increase anti-hypertensive action of a nitrendipin. At combined use of digoxin it is necessary to consider increase in concentration of digoxin in plasma.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a nitrendipin or to other antagonists of calcium 1,4digidropiridonovogo of type, excipients, cardiogenic shock, a stenosis of the aortal valve of a heavy stage, an acute myocardial infarction, unstable stenocardia, pregnancy, the lactation period.

Children and teenagers up to 18 years.

Overdose:

There are no data on overdose.

Storage conditions:

To store in original packaging in protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
