STREPSILS® INTENSIV

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: the tablet contains 8,75 mg of a flurbiprofen; other components: liquid sucrose, liquid glucose, fragrance cherry, calcium carbonate, povidone, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide colloid anhydrous.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Стрепсилс интенсив - symptomatic drug for pain relief in a throat at infectious and inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and a throat. Analgetichesky and antiinflammatory activity it is caused by inhibition of enzyme of cyclooxygenase and suppression of synthesis of prostaglandins. Shows peripheral, but not the central activity. Suppresses an equal measure action of PGE2 and PGF2a thanks to inhibition of endoperoxide which catalyzes transformations of arachidonic acid in cyclic endoperoxide.
 
Pharmacokinetics. After a rassasyvaniye of a tablet of Strepsils in an oral cavity its peak concentration in a blood plasma is observed in 0,9 – 2,8 hours. Drug is actively metabolized by methylation and a hydroxylation with the subsequent elimination by kidneys. The main metabolites of drug is 4'oksi-flurbiprofen and 3 '-oxy-4'metoksi-flurbiprofen. About 70% of each dose are removed with urine in 24 hours.

Indications to use:

Symptomatic treatment of a pharyngalgia at infectious and inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and a throat (viral, bacterial or fungal infections, and also noninfectious factors that provoke inflammatory process).

Route of administration and doses:

Adults and children are more senior than 12 years accept on 1 tablet for a rassasyvaniye

each 2 - 3 hours before pain relief. The maximum daily dose makes 5 tablets.
 
Tablets rassasyvat in an oral cavity before full dissolution.
 
It is not necessary to apply Strepsils Intensiv more than 3 days.
 
At a rassasyvaniye it is necessary to move a tablet on all oral cavity for prevention of irritation of a mucous membrane in the place of a rassasyvaniye.

Features of use:

With care apply at abnormal liver functions and kidneys, an arterial hypertension. Drug can increase hour of bleeding that increases risk of developing of bleedings of digestive tract.
 
The period of chest feeding is not to contraindications for use of drug because of low concentration of a flurbiprofen in breast milk at drug use.

Side effects:

Side reactions at use of Strepsils Intensiv connected, in the basic, with decrease in flavoring feelings and paresthesia elements in a look burning, prickings or tingling. Irritations of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity are possible.
 
There is potential, though insignificant, a risk of development of side reactions which are inherent in drugs of group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, from digestive tract, bodies of a krovoobrazovaniye, an urinary system.

Interaction with other medicines:

At combined use флурбипрофен can strengthen effect of anticoagulants and weaken effect of diuretics (furosemide).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of drug components; peptic ulcer of a stomach (aggravation); bronchial asthma and rhinitis against the background of reception of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; children's age (up to 12 years); deficit glyukozo-fosfatdegidrogenazy, pregnancy, lactation period.

Overdose:

At overdose nausea, vomiting, dizziness, hypotension, drowsiness, a headache, a miosis, a diplopia are observed. Treatment of symptoms the overdose includes a gastric lavage and symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

Store at a temperature not above 25 °C, in the dry, protected from light and moisture place. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity – 3 years. It is not recommended to use drug after the termination of the period of validity specified on packaging.

Tablets for a rassasyvaniye honey and lemon, on 8 tablets in the blister (PVC/PVDH/aluminium).
On 1,2 or 3 blisters place in a cardboard pack together with the application instruction.
