Gramicidin C

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 0,0015 g of gramicidin C.

Excipients: calcium stearate, lactose (sugar milk), sucrose (sugar), fragrance food, sodium saccharinate (saccharin soluble).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Drug for treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of a throat and an oral cavity. Antimicrobic means gramicidin C is a part of drug.

The mechanism of effect of gramicidin C is connected with increase in permeability of a cytoplasmic membrane of a microbic cell that breaks its stability and causes death of a cell.

Gramicidin C has the expressed antimicrobic effect concerning causative agents of infectious diseases of an oral cavity and throat. Drug reduces an inflammation, softens unpleasant feelings in a throat, facilitates swallowing, at a rassasyvaniye promotes clarification of an oral cavity and throat from microorganisms.

Pharmacokinetics. Extremely low absorbability of drug in digestive tract causes almost total absence of system effects.

Indications to use:

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and throat: quinsy, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, periodontosis, ulitis, stomatitis.

Route of administration and doses:

It is applied after food, by a rassasyvaniye in a mouth without chewing.

Directly after use of drug it is necessary to refrain from meal and drinks within 1-2 hours.

The dosage for adults and children is more senior than 12 years: on 3 mg (2 tablets) one for another (with an interval of 20-30 minutes) is slowly rassasyvat in an oral cavity by 4 times a day. Use is possible more than 7 days according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation. At pregnancy and in the period of a lactation administration of drug is possible only after consultation with the doctor.

Side effects:

Interaction with other medicines:

Gramicidin C strengthens effects of other antimicrobic means of local and systemic action.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components which are a part of drug. The lactation period, children's age up to 12 years (considering the dosing mode).
