Vitamin C

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 100 mg of ascorbic acid, 877 mg of a dextrose (glucose).

Excipients: calcium stearate, potato starch, talc.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Ascorbic acid plays an important role in regulation of oxidation-reduction processes, carbohydrate metabolism, coagulability of blood, an angenesis, promotes increase in body resistance. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is not formed in a human body, and arrives only with food. At the balanced and good nutrition of people has no deficiency in vitamin C.

The dextrose participates in various processes of a metabolism in an organism, strengthens oxidation-reduction processes in an organism, improves anti-toxic function of a liver. It is acquired completely by an organism, by kidneys it is not removed (emergence in urine is a pathological sign).

Indications to use:

— prevention and treatment hypo - and vitamin C avitaminosis;

— ensuring the increased need of an organism for vitamin C in a growth period, pregnancies, breastfeeding, at the raised exercise and intellectual stresses, overfatigue, stressful states, during recovery after a long and serious illness.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is accepted inside, after food.

With the preventive purpose appoint: adult - 1/2-1 таб. / days.

During pregnancy and a lactation - on 3 таб. / days within 10-15 days, then on 1 таб. / days.

With the medical purpose appoint: the adult - on 1/2-1 таб. 3-5 times/days; to children on 1/2-1 таб. 2-3 times/days. Terms of treatment depend on character and the course of a disease and are recommended by the doctor.

Features of use:

In connection with a promoting effect of ascorbic acid on formation of corticosteroid hormones it is necessary to monitor function of kidneys and the ABP.

At prolonged use of high doses oppression of function of the insulyarny device of a pancreas therefore in the course of treatment it is necessary to control functional capacity of a pancreas regularly is possible.

Persons with deficit glyukozo-6-fosfatdegidrogenazy should use drug with care.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions to drug components are possible. Page hypervitaminosis.

Interaction with other medicines:

Ascorbic acid increases absorption of drugs of group of penicillin, iron.

Contraindications:

— hypersensitivity to drug components;

— it is not necessary to appoint high doses the patient with the increased coagulability of blood, thrombophlebitises and tendency to fibrinferments, and also at the diabetes mellitus and states which are followed by the increased content of sugar in blood.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature from 18 to 22 °C. Period of validity 1 year. Not to use drug after expiry date.
