Cowberry leaves

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 50 g or 100 g of cowberry of leaves.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Means of a plant origin. Galenovy drugs from leaves of cowberry have the antimicrobic, antiinflammatory, knitting effect. Ursin which is hydrolyzed with formation of hydrochinone provides bactericidal and diuretic effect. Katekhinovy substances reduce permeability and fragility of capillaries, have the antiseptic and knitting effect.

Indications to use:

As a part of complex therapy: inflammatory diseases of kidneys and bladder (pyelites, cystitis, urolithiasis).

Route of administration and doses:

To place 6 g (2 tablespoons) of medicine in the enameled ware, to fill in 200 ml (1 glass) of water of room temperature and to insist in the water bath at frequent stirring within 30 min. To cool broth at the room temperature within 10 min., to filter, wringing out vegetable raw materials and to add water up to 200 ml. To accept inside in a warm look the adult on 1/3 - 1/2 glasses, to children depending on age - from 1 tablespoon to 1/4 glasses 2-3 times a day after food. Before the use broth is recommended to be shaken up.

Features of use:

During treatment it is necessary to support alkali reaction of urine.

Use during pregnancy and in the period of a lactation. Information on use of medicine during pregnancy and a lactation is absent. To the pregnant women and women nursing use of drug is possible only on doctor's orders if the advantage of use exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the child.

Use for children.  Information on use of medicine for children is absent. Use only on doctor's orders is possible.

Precautionary measures. At reception of high doses of drugs of cowberry or at their prolonged use the exacerbation of inflammatory diseases of kidneys as a result of long irritation of renal tubules can be observed.

Influence on ability to control of motor transport and other potentially dangerous mechanisms. Does not influence ability to control of motor transport and other potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Not to apply along with the food stuffs and medicines causing urine acidulation (ammonium chloride, methionine a hydrochloride).

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of the substances which are contained in medicine, an acute renal failure, an acute glomerulonephritis.

Storage conditions:

To store in the place protected from moisture and light at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. To store the prepared broth at a temperature from 8 °C to 15 °C no more than 2 days. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use upon termination of the period of validity specified on packaging.
