Vicalinum

General characteristics. Structure:

1 tablet contains bismuth of nitrate of the main 0,35 g, magnesium of a carbonate of the main 0,4 g, Natrii hydrocarbonas of 0,2 g, a buckthorn of bark of powder of 0,025 g, an acorus of a rhizome of powder of 0,025 g, kelline of 0,005 g, Rutinum of 0,005 g; excipients: potato starch, stearic acid, talc.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Tablets belong to the medicines operating on sensitive nerve terminations, in particular, to the knitting and antiacid drugs. Bismuth nitrate the main, Natrii hydrocarbonas, magnesium a carbonate the main have the antiacid and knitting effect, bark of a buckthorn shows laxative effect, the rhizome of an acorus has tonic influence on a stomach, kelline — spasmolytic effect, Rutinum reduces permeability of capillaries.

Indications to use:

Chronic hyperacid gastritis, not ulcer dyspepsia, gastro-ezofagealno-reflux disease.

Route of administration and doses:

Викалин® apply after food. The daily dose makes 1 - 2 tablets with Ѕ a glass of warm water (previously reasonablly to crush tablets). The course of treatment makes 1-2-3 months (duration depends on character of pharmacotherapy, disease); after a monthly break the course is repeated.
At accidental overdose of drug it is necessary to control function of kidneys and concentration of bismuth in blood and urine.

Side effects:

Викалин®, as a rule, does not cause side effects, however increase in frequency of excrements which stops at reduction of a dose is sometimes observed. Kal during treatment has dark green or black color. During treatment it is necessary to adhere to a diet.

During treatment by drug it is not necessary to accept the drugs containing bismuth for the prevention of risk of increase in concentration of bismuth in blood. Drug reduces absorbability of derivatives of coumarin.
