Tablets are vaginal: biconvex, oblong shape, color, white or white with a yellow shade, with an insignificant mramornost of a surface (on 5 pieces in a blister strip packaging, in a cardboard pack 2 packagings);
Suppositories vaginal: a torpedo-shaped form, white with a yellow shade or white color, the surface mramornost is allowed (on 5 pieces in a blister strip packaging, 2 packagings in a cardboard pack or on 1 piece in a blister strip packaging, in a cardboard pack 1 packaging);
Solution for external use of 0,05%: inodorous colourless liquid, transparent or a little opalescent (on 10, 50, 70, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 500 ml in polyethylene bottles with a polymeric nozzle, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle);
Gel for topical and external use of 0,5%: transparent, colourless (on 15, 20 or 30 g in aluminum tubas, in a cardboard pack 1 tuba).

Active agent of Geksikon – a hlorgeksidin биглюконат:

1 tablet – 16 mg (in the form of 20% of solution);
1 suppository – 16 mg;
100 ml of solution – 0,25 ml (in the form of 20% of solution);
1 g of gel – 5 mg.

Excipients:

Tablets: starch corn prezhelatinizirovanny, cellulose microcrystallic for the medical purposes, stearic acid, povidone low-molecular, lactoses monohydrate;
Suppositories: poly(ethylene oxide) 1500 and poly(ethylene oxide) 400;
Solution: the water purified;
Gel: RH-40 cremophore (polioksit 40 hydrogenated castor oil), half-oxameasures 407, the water purified.

Indications to use

Geksikon's use in the form of tablets and suppositories is shown in the following cases:

Prevention of pathologies, sexually transmitted, including syphilis, clamidiosis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, genital herpes, ureaplasmosis;
Treatment of vaginal dysbacteriosis, vaginit of various etiology, including mecotic, mixed, nonspecific;
Prevention of infectious and inflammatory complications in gynecology and obstetrics: before intrauterine researches, childbirth, abortions or surgical treatment of gynecologic diseases, and also before installation of an intrauterine spiral or diathermocoagulation of a neck of uterus.

Indications to use of drug in the form of solution:

Prevention of infections, sexually transmitted;
Disinfection of the infected burn surfaces, purulent wounds;
Treatment of infections of skin and mucous membranes in surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology (the urethritis, uretroprostatit), otolaryngology (quinsy);
Processing of a surgery field, hands of the surgeon and medical staff before surgeries and diagnostic manipulations;
Disinfection of the equipment and devices which cannot be subjected to heat treatment, including thermometers.

Gel use Geksikon is shown:

Gynecology: vulvitis;
Urology: balanoposthitis and balanitis;
Skin pathologies: paronychias, pyodermas, impetigo, felon, intertrigo.

Gel and solution use also in stomatology at treatment of a periodontal disease, ulitis, alveolitis, stomatitis, an afta, and also for disinfection of removable prostheses (only solution).

Contraindications

Treatment by solution is forbidden at dermatitis.

With care it is recommended to use drug for treatment of patients at children's age.

Geksikon's use is contraindicated at hypersensitivity to drug components.

Route of administration and dosage

Tablets: intravaginalno, before introduction it is necessary to moisten in water. For treatment – on 1 piece 1-2 times a day, within 7-10 days. For prevention of infections, sexually transmitted, it is necessary to enter once 1 tablet within the first 2 hours after the unprotected sexual intercourse;
Solution: locally and/or outwardly in the form of applications, irrigations, rinsings by drawing 5-10 ml on the struck mucosal surface of a cover or skin. The procedure is carried out within 1-3 min. 2-3 times a day by means of a tampon or irrigation. As a part of complex therapy of uretroprostatit and uretrit solution is injected into an urethra on 2-3 ml by 1-2 times a day. A course – 5 procedures every other day. For treatment of infectious diseases of an oral cavity appoint rinsings on 5-10 ml 3-4 times a day. For prevention of venereal diseases, within the first 2 hours after sexual intercourse, Geksikon by means of a nozzle is entered into an urethra to men on 2-3 ml, women – 1-2 ml, and also in a vagina of 5-10 ml and is late within 2-3 minutes. Besides, it is necessary to process drug leather of generative organs, a pubis, internal surface of hips. After the procedure it is impossible to urinate within 2 hours;
Suppositories: intravaginalno, for therapy appoint 1 piece 2 times a day. Course of treatment of 7-10 days. For prevention of infections, sexually transmitted, 1 suppository is entered once within the first 2 hours after the unprotected sexual intercourse;
Gel: locally and outwardly by drawing on affected areas of skin of a thin layer or application. For treatment of balanites, balanoposthites, vulvit gel is applied by 2 times a day, within 7-10 days. In stomatology for treatment of an ulitis, a periodontal disease and other infectious diseases treatment is carried out by means of applications with exposure of 1-3 min. 2-3 times a day. For therapy of skin infections procedures are carried out by 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is appointed individually depending on clinical indications.

Side effects

Sometimes use of a hlorgeksidin causes development of allergic reactions, an itch which take place after drug withdrawal.

Treatment by solution and gel can become the reason of undesirable effects: a xeroderma, dermatitis, a photosensitization, and at treatment of ulites – taste disturbance, coloring of enamel of teeth, adjournment of a dental calculus.

After use of solution emergence of stickiness of skin of hands within 3-5 minutes is possible.

Special instructions

Geksikon is effective for prevention of sexually transmitted infections if he is used within two hours after sexual intercourse.

Organic matters and availability of impurity of blood do not influence activity of a hlorgeksidin.

Not to allow contact of drug with an acoustical nerve and a meninx.

At hit on mucous membranes of their eyes it is necessary to wash out quickly water.

Bactericidal property of solution amplifies with increase in its temperature.

Use of means during pregnancy and breastfeeding is allowed if the expected advantage for mother is much higher than potential risk for a fruit and the child.
