Gipermagniyemiya - increase in concentration of magnesium of serum more than 2,2 ¼Ø¬ó/l.
Gipermagniyemiya's symptoms:
At the level magnesium higher than 4 ¼Ø¬ó/l observe oppression of cardiovascular activity (arterial hypotension, bradycardia, on an ECG - lengthening of intervals of P-Q, QRS and Q-T, full AV blockade and an asystolia), deterioration in neuromuscular excitability (an areflexia, drowsiness, weakness, paralyzes, respiratory insufficiency) and the TsNS functions.
Gipermagniyemiya's reasons:
As kidneys have ability to daily allocate several hundred мЭкв magnesium, the gipermagniyemiya usually happens iatrogenic, and it remains only at patients with decrease in functions of the kidneys using magnesium either in the form of laxatives or in the form of antacids. Acute intoxication magnesium can arise at the women receiving in/in magnesium salt in excess doses concerning pregnancy toxicosis.
Gipermagniyemiya's treatment:
Calcium a gluconate (10 ml of 10% of solution) in/in
Furosemide or Acidum etacrynicum (in/in, inside) at adequate hydration and safety of functions of kidneys - for increase in excretion of magnesium
At a heavy gipermagniyemiya carry out a hemodialysis (at a possibility of maintenance of the ABP) or peritoneal dialysis.
