Bromhexine

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent - Bromhexine a hydrochloride of 0,008 g.

Description. Tablets of white color, ploskotsilindrichesky with risky and a facet.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacological action - sekretomotorny, sekretolitichesky, increasing production of surfactant, antibechic.

Indications to use:

Chronic inflammatory diseases of lungs (bronchial asthma, mucoviscidosis, tuberculosis, tracheobronchitis, spastic bronchitis, bronchietasia, emphysema of lungs, pneumoconiosis), thorax injuries, before - and the postoperative period.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, on 1–2 tab. 3-4 of time a day; to children from 3 to 5 years — 0,002 g, from 6 to 14 years — 0,004 g 3 times a day. A course — from 4 to 28 days.

Features of use:

At a peptic ulcer of a stomach, and also at instructions on gastric bleeding in the anamnesis Bromhexine should be applied under control of the doctor.

With care to apply at the patients having bronchial asthma.

Side effects:

Dyspepsia, increase in activity of aminotransferases.

Interaction with other medicines:

Bromhexine is not applied along with the medicines containing codeine since it complicates expectoration of the liquefied phlegm.

Apply as a part of the combined drugs of a plant origin with essential oils (including with eucalyptus oil, anise oil, peppermint oil, menthol).

Contraindications:

Pregnancy (the I trimester), children's age (up to 3 years).

Overdose:

Cases are not described.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place, at a temperature not above 25 °C.

To store in the place, unavailable to children.
