WEB INFECTION

Description:

Polymorphic nosological group which combines such diseases as  an infectious mononucleosis, Birkett's lymphoma, a nasopharynx carcinoma, Kaposha's sarcoma.

WEB INFECTION symptoms:

The virus Epsheyna-Barre is considered the activator of an infectious mononucleosis that is rather safe though there are nuances. At residents of Ukraine, America and Europe the disease proceeds with development of fever (temperature to 39-40 degrees which keeps for several weeks), tonsillitis (the hardest quinsy), a generalized lymphadenopathy (swelling of different groups of lymphatic glands) and a gepatosppenomegaliya (increase in a liver and spleen). And increase in a spleen at an infectious mononucleosis can sometimes lead even to its gap. The disease can develop and is imperceptible. At the same time the first symptom which forces the patient to see a doctor is the hyperadenosis (with displays of an immune depression), or a syndrome of chronic fatigue. In turn, in the southern regions of China, the same virus causes nasopharynx cancer (a nazofarengialny carcinoma). And in young men and youth of the African continent the same virus can cause Birkett's lymphoma - a malignant tumor of an upper jaw.

WEB INFECTION reasons:

The disease causes the Epstein-Barre's virus (EBV). This virus concerns to family of herpetic viruses (a herpes virus 4 types). As well as other herpetic viruses of VEB it is extremely widespread. By estimates of different authors this virus infected about 90% of adult population of the planet. The patients with acute and chronic forms of an infection allocating a virus in external environment with saliva, nasopharyngeal slime act as a source of an infection. Infection occurs in several ways: airborne, sexual, hemotransfusionic (at hemotransfusion). This infection is not among very infectious diseases (such as flu, chicken pox). Infection is possible only at very close and close contact, for example at kisses, use of the general ware, linen, personal care products. Therefore an infection we sometimes call VEB "a disease of kisses". Besides, cases of transplacental infection with formation of malformations are described.
More often infection with a virus proceeds asymptomatically, or in the form of a slight cold. The ratio of the asymptomatic and clinically expressed cases makes about 1:3-1:10. In other cases at infection of VEB the disease known as an infectious mononucleosis develops. This disease of the following symptoms is shown. After an incubation interval which lasts on average 4-14 days there are complaints to weakness, fervescence to high figures, pharyngalgias. The hyperadenosis is characteristic of a disease (especially cervical), development of symptoms of quinsy, rashes are possible. Find increase in quantity of lymphocytes, and also emergence of special cells in blood test – atypical mononuklear (virotsit). Damage of a liver, in the form of development of the specific hepatitis which is shown increase in a liver, changes from hepatic tests, sometimes emergence of jaundice is possible. Without treatment the disease can last up to 3-4 weeks. As a rule, the infectious mononucleosis is a benign disease, complications are very rare. Atypical forms of an infectious mononucleosis at which the diagnosis can be established only by means of laboratory methods of researches meet.

Treatment of the WEB INFECTION:

Patients with an infectious mononucleosis, it is desirable, to treat in the conditions of an infectious hospital as laboratory control of development of a disease, consultations of adjacent specialists (ENT SPECIALISTS, sometimes hematologists) is necessary that it is difficult to organize in house conditions. Treatment of an infectious mononucleosis has to be complex. Much attention needs to be paid to the mode and a diet. From medicamentous means most often use antibiotics, antihistaminic drugs. In hard cases appoint corticosteroid hormones a short course. The encouraging results are received at use of immunomodulators, inductors of endogenous interferon. These drugs possess indirect antiviral action, their appointment allows to achieve quicker recovery, normalization of results of analyses.

Treatment of a chronic EBV infection is rather complex challenge. Today there are no available antiviral drugs which could be used widely. Himiopreparata, belonging to group of abnormal nucleosides, have insufficient activity against EBV, but at the same time render the mass of side effects and have the high cost therefore are used only according to vital indications, at defeat of a nervous system. Also for treatment of chronic forms of an EBV infection drugs from group of interferon, specific immunoglobulin are used. On condition of an integrated approach in treatment of a chronic EBV infection it is possible to achieve success, stable and long remission.
