Sparganosis (sparganosis) - zoonotic helminthosis from group of tsestodoz. It is characterized by damage of internals, hypodermic cellulose, a conjunctiva of eyes and other bodies and fabrics.
Cases of a disease meet in Russia (in the Far East and the European territory), the countries of Southeast Asia, is more rare on other continents. Incidence has sporadic character.
The activator - Spirometra erinacei-europaei tape-worm. Mature lenteets live in a small intestine of various mammals. Eggs, being allocated from an organism with excrements, develop in water in koratsidiya. Free koratsidiya are swallowed by crustaceans Cyclops. When swallowing water procercoids get through an intestinal wall, are localized in various fabrics and pass into a stage of a plerotserkoid.
The person catches the water supporting the infested crustaceans Cyclops. Perhaps also infection at consumption of meat of the infested frogs, snakes and other additional owners of the activator. Cases of infection and a contact way when they as remedy put meat of frogs or snakes to wounds and ulcers are known.
The natural susceptibility of people is not defined.
The incubation interval is not defined.
Having got after infection through an intestinal wall, the activator migrates in an organism, локализуясь then in various internals and fabrics, is more often under skin, in intermuscular connecting fabric, under an eye conjunctiva, causing local inflammatory process.
Parasitizing of sparganum in an organism is followed by development of inflammatory reactions, parasites put the constant pressure upon surrounding fabrics, vessels, nerves that leads to development of dystrophic and necrotic processes. Existence of sparganum in an organism leads to allergic frustration.
In places of defeat edematous, painful nodes in which center the lentopodobny larva moves come to light.
After her death the expressed inflammation with destruction of fabric and a massive eosinophilia develops.
At infection of absorbent vessels limited elephantiasis develops.
Diagnosis of a sparganosis is based on anamnestic instructions on consumption of meat of additional owners, availability of infiltrates in under skin cellulose without inflammatory reaction both a morphological research of remote fabrics and detection of parasites.
Treatment of a sparganosis:
Treatment consists in intravenous administration of a nsosalvarsan and surgical removal of larvae from under skin, or purpose of thiabendazole.
Use for drink of only previously disinfected water from open reservoirs and consumption of only thermally neutralized meat of frogs, snakes, etc. Measures of immunoprevention are not developed.
