Almura-Kopetsky operation

Almura-Kopetsky operation (R. Almour; S. J. Kopetsky, the American otorhinolaryngologist, 1876-1950) – surgery on removal of the suppurated top of a pyramid of a temporal bone. At its carrying out the tympanic cavity is widely opened, the front wall of outside acoustical pass and the basis of a malar shoot with formation of an opening between a snail of an inner ear, the channel of an internal carotid artery and an acoustical pipe is removed.
