Alveolotsita

Alveolotsita [alveolocyti – LNH (The Leningrad histologic nomenclature); lat. alveolus cell, bubble, hole (lung) + gist. cytus – a cell] – epithelial cells which cover lung alveoluses.

Allocate:

  • Alveolotsita big (alveolocyti Magni – LNH (The Leningrad histologic nomenclature); synonyms: cells are alveolar secretory, cells alveolar big) – large alveolotsita which develop the lipoproteidny secret forming a film on a surface of an epithelium of lungs;
  • Alveolotsita respiratory (alveolocyti Respiratorii – LNH (The Leningrad histologic nomenclature); synonyms: cells are alveolar respiratory, alveolotsita scaly, the cells covering) – alveolotsita through which gas exchange in alveoluses of lungs is carried out.
