Applanometr (the apo-prefix – indicates the action directed from something, removal, a deviation + lat. flat + Greek metreo – to measure planus – flattened) – the device used to measurement of intraocular pressure by definition of extent of flattening of a surface of an eyeglobe when pressing on it.
