Blastea (historical; blastea; Greek blaste – a sprout) – the term which was offered by E. Gekkel (the German zoologist and the philosopher, the popular writer of Darwinism) for designation of the hypothetical form of ancestors of metazoans which is hollow spherical colony of one-celled zhgutikonosny individuals.
