Abdominal cavity [cavum abdominis – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian), BNA (The anatomic nomenclature Basel), JNA (The anatomic nomenclature Yenskaya); synonym: a stomach cavity] – the space delimited in front by aponeuroses of cross and oblique muscles and direct muscles of a stomach from sides – muscular parts of these muscles, from above – a diaphragm, from below – a diaphragm of a basin and ileal bones, behind – a square muscle of a waist, the broadest muscle of a back, a big lumbar muscle and a lumbar part of a backbone.
