Hamaturia

Description:

Release of blood with urine. If availability of blood in urine is defined by a naked eye, speak about a gross hematuria; if erythrocytes are found only at a research under a microscope — say about a microhematuria.

Hamaturia reasons:

The hamaturia is a symptom of many diseases of uric system — a tumor and a nephrophthisis, pyelonephritis, an urolithiasis, hemorrhagic cystitis,  a bladder tumor. Besides, the hamaturia can be result of disturbance of coagulability of blood at diseases of a liver, blood, a scurvy, and also at overdose of anticoagulants. It is correct to estimate this symptom so-called stakanny test helps: at the patient during an urination take separate samples of urine — at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of an urination. Presence seen approximately blood (gross hematuria) only in the first portion of urine (an initial hamaturia) demonstrates damage of an urethra (an injury, polyps, cancer, gonorrhea, syphilis). Availability of blood only in the last portion (terminal hamaturia) indicates defeat of a back part of an urethra, neck of a bladder, prostate, seed bubbles. Blood in all three portions (a total hamaturia) can be observed at diseases of a bladder, a renal pelvis and parenchyma of kidneys.
