General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredient: 40 g of taurine (taufon).
Excipients: methylparahydroxybenzoate, the water purified.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. Taufon (taurine) is the sulfur-containing amino acid which is formed in an organism in the course of cysteine transformation. Drug promotes improvement of power processes, stimulates reparative processes at the diseases of dystrophic character and processes which are followed by sharp disturbance of metabolism of tissues of eyes. As sulfur-containing amino acid drug contributes to normalization of function of cellular membranes, improvement of power and exchange processes.
Indications to use:
Cornea dystrophy; senile, traumatic, beam and other types of cataracts; and also cornea injuries (as a stimulator of reparative processes) at adults.
Route of administration and doses:
At cataracts of 4% solution of a taufon (eye drops) is appointed in the form of instillations on 1-2 cap by 2-4 times a day within 3 months. The course is repeated with a monthly interval. At injuries and dystrophic diseases of a cornea apply in the same doses within 1 month.
Side effects:
Allergic reaction.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to taurine.
Storage conditions:
List B. To store in the place protected from light, at a temperature from 12 to 15 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 4 years in glass bottles, 3 years in polyethylene bottles and a tube droppers. Not to use after the date specified on packaging.

Eye drops of 4%. On 5 ml, 10 ml in bottles from a tube glass the FO type. On 5 ml, 10 ml in bottles polymeric with a screw mouth and the screwed cover with the condensing element and a nozzle doser or a nozzle doser with the condensing elements or in bottles polymeric, pressurized by droppers and the screwed covers.
On 1 ml, 1,5 ml, 2 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml in a tube dropper with the valve or a screw mouth from polyethylene of high pressure or from polyethylene of low pressure, or from polyethylene for the medical purposes, or from polyethylene or polypropylene for infusion solutions and eye drops.
Each bottle or 1, 2, 5, 10 tube droppers with the application instruction place in a pack from a cardboard for a retail container. On 50, 100 tube droppers with application instructions place in a box (for hospitals). On 50, 150 bottles with the equal number of application instructions place in group packaging.
