Taufon - Darnitsa, on 5 ml or 10 ml

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: taurine;

1 ml of solution contains taurine (in terms of 100% dry matter) 40 mg;

excipients: methylparahydroxybenzoate (Е 218), water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Taufon-Darnitsa contains taurine – the sulfur-containing amino acid which is formed in an organism in the course of cysteine transformation. Taurine takes part in synthesis of plastic material owing to what it stimulates reparative and regenerative processes at the diseases of eyes of dystrophic character and/or pathological processes which are followed by sharp disturbance of metabolism of eye fabrics including – at injuries of eyes. Contributes to normalization of functions of cellular membranes, optimization of power and exchange processes, maintenance of constancy of electrolytic composition of cytoplasm of cells, braking of synoptic transfer.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration system absorption low.

Main physical and chemical properties: transparent colourless liquid, inodorous.

Indications to use:

Injuries and dystrophy of a cornea of an eye. Dystrophic damages of a retina of an eye, including hereditary tapetoretinalny degenerations. Cataract (age, diabetic, traumatic, beam). An open angle glaucoma (in combination with Timololum).

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is appointed the adult. Just before use it is desirable to take a bottle with prepaty in a palm to warm up it to body temperature. To turn off a bottle cover. To dig in 2-3 drops 2-4 times a day in a conjunctival sac of the affected eye by easy pressing on a bottle bottom.

Course of treatment at injuries – 1 month, at cataracts – 3 months (repeat with an interval of 1 month).

For treatment of a tapetoretinalny degeneration and other dystrophic diseases of a retina, the getting cornea wounds the drug is administered under a conjunctiva: on 0,3 ml of 4% of solution once a day within 10 days. The course is repeated in 6-8 months.

At an open angle glaucoma instillirut 2-3 drops in each conjunctival sac 2 times a day in 20-30 minutes prior to use of Timololum. The course of treatment is defined individually.

Features of use:

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast.

There is no sufficient experiment on use of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Children. Efficiency and safety of use of drug to children were not investigated.

At an open angle glaucoma drug is used in combination with Timololum in 20-30 minutes prior to Timololum instillation.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms.

Does not influence.

Side effects:

At use of drug there can be allergic reactions as allergic conjunctivitis caused by individual intolerance of components of drug.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with eye drops тимололм the potentiated decrease in intraocular pressure, and also the potentiated lowering of arterial pressure is observed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to taurine.

Overdose:

It is not described.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 1 year. After opening of a bottle drug is stored by 28 days. To store in the place, unavailable to children, in original packaging at a temperature not above 15 °C. Not to freeze.
