Clinical displays of mastitis
Reasons of Superficial mastitis:
The etiology of superficial mastitis is similar to that at other forms of mastitis.
* Micronipple cracks through which the infection got;
* Laktostaz (stagnation of milk in a mammary gland at disturbance of its outflow);
* Decrease in immunity;
* Unpreparedness of nipples to feeding;
* Lack of necessary treatment of nipple cracks;
* Non-compliance with hygienic rules of feeding by a breast (purity of a mammary gland and mother's hands);
* Hormonal disturbances.
At other women (especially at girls in a transition period), and also at children and at men developing of mastitis at hormonal disturbances ("failures" of products of sex hormones, hormones of a hypophysis and a hypothalamus) is also possible or at injuries of a mammary gland.
Treatment of Superficial mastitis:
Treatment is begun at the first symptoms of a disease. Appoint antibiotics (Oxacillinum, Methicillinum, lincomycin, Fusidinum) in combination with the warming compresses to a mammary gland (with alcohol or with Vishnevsky's ointment), the bandage suspending a mammary gland. If decantation of milk is impossible, (Parlodelum) on 0,005g 2 times a day from 4 to 8 days resort to suppression or braking of a lactation bromokripniny. The child is fed with the decanted donor milk. At suppuration surgical intervention is shown. It is necessary to isolate mother and the child from other women in childbirth and newborns.
