General characteristics. Structure:
Active agent: Diazolinum (a mebgidrolina нападизилат) – 50 mg or 100 mg.
Pharmacological properties:
Diazolinum - a blocker histamine H1 receptors. Renders antiallergic, antipruritic, antivoeksudativny, and also weak sedative action. Blocks histamine H1 receptors, lowers a tone of smooth muscles (bronchial tubes, a GIT, a uterus), reduces permeability of capillaries and edematization, prevents developing of an itch.
Indications to use:
Allergic rhinitis (seasonal, chronic), pollinosis, allergic conjunctivitis, small tortoiseshell, Quincke's edema, pruritic dermatosis (eczema, neurodermatitis, etc.), skin reaction to stings of insects; allergic reactions to drug intake, food, etc.; combination therapy of a pruritic dermatosis and bronchial asthma.
Route of administration and doses:
Diazolinum is appointed inside after food.
To adults and children 10 years are more senior: on 50-300 mg a day. The maximum single dose - 300 mg, daily - 600 mg.
Children are 5-10 years old: 100-200 mg a day.
Children are 2-5 years old: 50-150 mg a day.
Features of use:
With care appoint at pregnancy and feeding a breast.
Care is necessary also when using against the background of diseases of a liver and kidneys (dose adjustment and intervals between receptions is possible).

Side effects:
- From a nervous system and sense bodys: increased fatigue, delay of speed of reactions, dizziness, drowsiness, paresthesias.
- From bodies of a GIT: dryness in a mouth, heartburn, nausea, pain in epigastriums.
- Other: disturbance of an urination, allergic reactions, granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis.
Interaction with other medicines:
Diazolinum strengthens action of means, the oppressing TsNS.
Contraindications:
Prostatauxe, closed-angle glaucoma, peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum, inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases in an aggravation phase; hypersensitivity to a mebgidrolin, children's age up to 2 years.
Restrictions to use:
Pylorostenosis, epilepsy, disturbance of a cordial rhythm.
