General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: мебгидролин 50 mg; 100 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

Blocker histamine H1 receptors derivative of ethylene diamine. Renders antiallergic, antipruritic, antiexudative, and also weak sedative action. The m-holinoblokiruyushchimi has properties.

Pharmacokinetics. After intake it is quickly absorbed from a GIT. Bioavailability makes 40-60%. Practically does not get through GEB. It is metabolized in a liver by methylation. Causes induction of microsomal enzymes of a liver. It is removed by kidneys.

Indications to use:

Hay fever, small tortoiseshell, eczema, skin itch, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, skin reaction after sting; bronchial asthma (as a part of a combination therapy).

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 10 years - 100-300 mg/days are more senior. A daily dose for children at the age of 5-10 years - 100-200 mg; 2-5 years - 50-150 mg; up to 2 years - 50-100 mg.

Features of use:

With care apply at a liver and/or renal failure (dose adjustment and intervals between receptions can be required).

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms
During treatment it is necessary to abstain from occupations potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving of vehicles or work with mechanisms).

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: seldom - dryness in a mouth, the dispeptic phenomena owing to irritation mucous a stomach.
From TsNS and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, paresthesias, increased fatigue, a tremor, drowsiness are possible.
From system of a hemopoiesis: in isolated cases - a granulocytopenia, an agranulocytosis.
From an urinary system: in isolated cases - a dysuria.

Interaction with other medicines:

Mebgidrolin strengthens effect of sedatives and ethanol.

Contraindications:

Prostatauxe, closed-angle glaucoma, peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum, inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases in an aggravation phase; hypersensitivity to a mebgidrolin, a pylorostenosis, epilepsy, disturbances of a cordial rhythm (possessing vagolytic action, can improve AV conductivity and promote development of supraventricular arrhythmias), pregnancy, the lactation period.

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast
Mebgidrolin is contraindicated to use at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation (breastfeeding).

Use at abnormal liver functions
With care apply at a liver failure (dose adjustment and intervals between receptions can be required).

Use at renal failures

Use for children
