Стопангин®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: Hexetidinum of 0,1 g; mix of essential oils (anisic essential oil of 36,45 mg, eucalyptus essential oil of 1,05 mg, sassafrasny essential oil of 8,4 mg, essential oil of a peppermint of 60,6 mg. Clove essential oil of 8,4 mg); menthol of 17,55 mg; methyl salicylate of 17,55 mg.

Excipients: sodium saccharinate monohydrate, citric acid, polysorbate 60, ethanol of 96%, Rubor ponceau 4R dye, the water purified.

Description: transparent, light-red color liquid with a specific fragrant smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Antiseptic agent for topical administration. Has also antifungal activity and analgetic properties when drawing on a mucous membrane. Stopangin has the enveloping effect. The effect proceeds 10 - 12 hour.

Indications to use:

• inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and throat (quinsy, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, stomatitis, afta, glossitis, periodontosis and periodontopathies, infection of alveoluses);
• fungus diseases of an oral cavity and throats (milkwoman);
• before operative measures, and also injuries of an oral cavity and throat;
• as supportive application at complex treatment of quinsies.

Route of administration and doses:

Locally. If the doctor did not appoint differently, it is recommended to wash out 2-5 times a day an oral cavity (within not less than 30 seconds) undiluted solution of 10-15 ml (1 tablespoon). It is also possible to grease a mucous membrane of an oral cavity by means of a cotton plug on a stick. It is reasonable to apply this route of administration at children. The break between procedures has to be not less than 4 hours.
Drug should be used after food or in intervals between meals within 6 - 7 days.

Features of use:

Teenagers, and also pregnant women (the 2 and 3 trimester) and the nursing women can use drug.
Children can use drug only from such age, when there is no danger of an uncontrollable proglatyvaniye of drug.
About expediency of simultaneous use of the drug "Stopangin" with other drugs consult to the doctor.
At appointment of other drugs as the doctor, report to him about use of Stopangin. The 8th case of deterioration in health, temperature increase, inefficiency of holding medical procedures or emergence of unusual reactions follows will see a doctor.
At overdose or in case of administration of drug inside by the child, it is necessary to consult to the doctor.
Drug contains 4% of alcohol (ethanol).

Drug should be accepted not later than 30 minutes prior to the beginning of control of the vehicle.

Side effects:

There can be a temporary burning sensation of a mucous oral cavity after drug use which spontaneously quickly disappears. In exceptional cases at people with hypersensitivity there can come allergic reaction. The accidental proglatyvaniye of drug when rinsing can make independently passing sick. In case of unusual reactions it is necessary to consult to the doctor about expediency of further use of drug.

Interaction with other medicines:

Are not known.

Contraindications:

Drug it is not necessary to use at hypersensitivity to components drug, at dry pharyngitis of atrophic type, to children aged up to 8 years, and also during pregnancy (1 trimester).

Storage conditions:

List B. At a temperature from 10 °C to 25 °C in protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 4 years. It is not necessary to apply after the period of validity specified on packaging.
