General characteristics. Structure:

Active вещество:гексэтидин (in terms of 100% substance) – 200 mg (0,2%).

Excipients: saccharinate sodium a dihydrate – 40 mg, citric acid monohydrate – 70 mg, sodium hydroxide (sodium a hydroxide) – 19 mg, глицерол (glycerin) – 17000 mg, ethanol (the alcohol rectified) – 4000 mg, лауромакрогол (a macrogoal lauryl ether) – 1500 mg, cineol (eucalyptole) – 20 mg, left menthol (L-menthol) – 20 mg, a peppermint of leaves oil – 10 mg, the water purified – to 100,0 ml.

Pharmacological properties:

Antiseptic agent for topical administration for drawing on mucous membranes. Possesses antimicrobic, antifungal, the anesthetic enveloping and the deodorizing action.

Pharmacokinetics. After single use local action of Hexetidinum continues 10-12 hours. Drug is practically not soaked up from the surface of mucous membranes and does not render system effect.

Indications to use:

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and throat (tonsillitis, including Plaut-Vincent's quinsy, pharyngitis, stomatitis, aphthous ulcers of an oral cavity, glossitis, periodontitis, ulitis, periodontosis, periodontopathies, alveolitis), bleeding of gums. At ORZ – as supportive application, as a part of complex therapy.
Fungal infections of an oral cavity, throat and throats (milkwoman).
Injuries and operative measures in oral cavities, throats and throats (both to, and after their carrying out), including prevention of infection of alveoluses after extraction of tooth.
As means of hygiene of an oral cavity for elimination of an unpleasant smell (the deodorizing effect).
Prevention of superinfections at the collapsing tumors of an oral cavity and throat.

Route of administration and doses:

Locally, after food or in intervals between meals.
By means of spray process affected areas in an oral cavity and a throat. For the correct use of drug it is necessary to perform the following operations:

1. To uncover a cylinder, to install the sprayer in the corresponding opening of an upper part of a cylinder.
2. To administer necessary amount of the drug in an oral cavity, having pressed 3-4 times the sprayer. During administration of drug it is necessary to hold the breath.

To adults and children 8 years are more senior: use frequency - 2-3 times a day. If necessary perhaps more frequent use of drug. A course of treatment – 5-7 days.
During introduction the cylinder should be held vertically.

Features of use:

Children can use drug from such age when they do not resist a foreign subject (sprayer) in a mouth at use of spray and are capable to hold the breath at drug injection.
Spray should not be inhaled; it is necessary to avoid hit of drug in eyes. After spray use the applicator should be rinsed with warm water.
It must be kept in mind that spray contains ethanol – 24-48 mg in a daily dose.
In the absence of the general reaction to administration of drug performance of potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention and bystry reactions (including driving), not contraindicated.

Attention! The cylinder is under pressure. Not to burn, not to puncture and not to open even if the cylinder is empty.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions; burning of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity; at an accidental proglatyvaniye – nausea; at prolonged use disturbance of flavoring feelings is possible.

If any of the side effects specified in the instruction are aggravated, or you noticed other adverse reactions which are not specified in the instruction, report about it to the doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

There are no data.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, atrophic pharyngitis, pregnancy (the I trimester) children's age up to 8 years.

Pregnancy and lactation
There are no data on any adverse effects of Hexetidinum at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. In the I trimester of pregnancy use of drug is contraindicated. Before purpose of drug pregnant women or the feeding women need to weigh carefully advantage of treatment for mother and possible risk for a fruit and the child, considering lack of sufficient data about penetration of drug through a placenta and in breast milk.

Overdose:

Hexetidinum in the specified dosage is not toxic. Proglatyvaniye of large amounts of drug leads to vomiting therefore considerable absorption is not expected.
Cases of poisoning with ethanol at overdose were not described. Acute alcoholic poisoning is very improbable, but it is theoretically possible at a proglatyvaniye of a high dose of drug the small child. At any cases of overdose immediately consult with the doctor.

Symptomatic treatment: reception of enterosorbents (absorbent carbon), gastric lavage, plentiful drink. The gastric lavage is necessary during 2 h after a proglatyvaniye of an excess dose.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Spray for topical administration of 0,2%.
On 40 ml in cylinders aluminum (with internal protection), supplied with dispensing pumps, sprayers for oral use with protective caps.
Each cylinder together with a protective cap, the sprayer for oral use and the application instruction is placed in a pack from a cardboard.
