Oksandrolon

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 10 mg of an oksandrolon in 1 tablet.

Excipients: magnesium stearate, Kollidon CL (кросповидон), лудипрессо (lactose, povidone, кросповидон).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Oksandrolon is steroid anabolic steroid. Getting in a cellular kernel, activates the genetic device of a cell that leads to increase in synthesis of DNA, RNA and structural proteins, activation of enzymes of a chain of tissue respiration and strengthening of tissue respiration, oxidizing phosphorylation, synthesis of ATP and accumulation of makroerg in a cell. Stimulates anabolic and suppresses the catabolic processes caused by glucocorticoids.

Leads to increase in muscle bulk, reduction of adiposities, improves a trophicity of fabrics, promotes adjournment of calcium in bones. Shows low androgenic activity.

Indications to use:

Protein synthesis disturbances, cachexia of a different origin; injuries, extensive burns, after infectious diseases and radiation; muscular dystrophy, osteoporosis, negative nitrogenous balance at corticosteroid therapy, hypo - and aplastic anemia.

Route of administration and doses:

Adults: doses select individually. Usual doses for adults make 2,5-20 mg a day divided into 2-4 receptions.

Children: the recommended dose makes ≤ 0,1 mg/kg/days.

Treatment duration usually makes 2-4 weeks. If necessary the course of treatment can be repeated in 1-2 months.

Features of use:

At emergence of the first signs of virilescence in women (voice coarsening, a hirsutism, eels, a clitoromegaly), reception should be stopped not to allow irreversibility of changes. To periodically check the level of a lipidemiya and cholesterinemia.

To children drug has to be appointed by the experienced specialist not to allow premature ossification of an epiphysis of bones.

Side effects:

Women have virilescence symptoms, eels, frustration of a menstrual cycle.

At men: in the prepubertatny period – virilescence symptoms, eels, delay or the termination of growth (calcification of epiphyseal growth zones of tubular bones); in the post-pubertal period – a gynecomastia, a priapism, oppression of a spermatogenesis.

Men and women have a progressing of atherosclerosis, peripheral hypostases, disturbance of functions of a liver, change in a leukocytic formula, long tubular bone pain.

Interaction with other medicines:

Strengthens effect of anticoagulants, antiagregant and hypoglycemic means, and also side effects of gepatotoksichny drugs.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug, a prostate cancer, a breast cancer at men, a carcinoma of a mammary gland at women with a hypercalcemia, an ischemic heart disease, the expressed atherosclerosis, a liver and renal failure, acute and chronic prostatitis, pregnancy, feeding by a breast.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose are not registered.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature of 15-25 °C, in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use after the expiry date specified on packaging.
