General characteristics. Structure:

Deystvuyuyushchy substance: 1 g of clindamycin of phosphate in terms of clindamycin in 100 g of gel.

Excipients: methylparahydroxybenzoate (нипагин), cordianine, dinatrium laurimino tocopheryl Dipropionas phosphate, propylene glycol, a macrogoal-400 (poly(ethylene oxide)-400), carbomer copolymer, carbomer an interpolimer, sodium hydroxide, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Clindamycin - an antibiotic of group of linkozamid, is active concerning all strains of Propionibacterium acnes, the minimum overwhelming concentration (MOC) - 0,4 mkg/ml.

Inhibits protein synthesis in a microbic cell due to interaction with 50S-subunits of ribosomes. Clindamycin phosphate is inactive in vitro, but after drawing on skin is quickly hydrolyzed by phosphatases in channels of sebaceous glands with formation of the clindamycin having antibacterial activity. After drawing the amount of free fatty acids on the surface of skin decreases by skin approximately from 14 to 2%.

Pharmacokinetics. Clindamycin quickly collects in comedones where shows antibacterial activity.

Average concentration of an antibiotic in contents of comedones after putting gel considerably exceeds an indicator of the minimum suppressing concentration for all strains of Propionibacterium acnes - the causative agent of acne rash. After drawing very low concentration of clindamycin are defined on skin of 1% of gel of clindamycin of phosphate in a blood plasma and urine.

Indications to use:

Drug is used for treatment of acne rash (acne vulgaris).

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. Gel with a thin layer is applied on the struck area of previously cleared and dried up skin by 2-3 times a day.

Course of treatment: for obtaining satisfactory results treatment should be continued within 6-8 weeks, and if necessary it is possible to continue up to 6 months.

Features of use:

At use it is necessary to avoid contact of drug with eyes and an oral cavity, and after gel it is necessary to wash up hands.

Use at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation. Perhaps cutaneous use of gel at pregnancy if the estimated advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit. In need of use in the period of a lactation the breastfeeding termination is recommended.

Side effects:

Drug is usually well transferred, however at topical administration of gel the irritation (in a site of application), burning, an itch, a xeroderma, an erythema, a peeling, the increased release of skin fat, contact dermatitis is possible. At a resorption there is a probability of development of a pseudomembranous coloenteritis.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clindamycin and erythromycin are antagonists owing to what simultaneous use of these antibiotics is not recommended.

There is a cross resistance between clindamycin and lincomycin.

Can strengthen action of muscle relaxants, breaking neuromuscular transmission.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin in the anamnesis; a disease Krone, ulcer and pseudomembranous colitis (Including in the anamnesis).

With care. Age up to 12 years (experience of use is absent), the lactation period. With care it is necessary to apply at patients with an allergy, and also at a concomitant use of muscle relaxants.
