АЦЦ® hot drink

General characteristics. Structure:

1 bag weight on 3 g of granulate for preparation of hot drink contains:

active agents: 200 mg of Acetylcysteinum;

excipients: ascorbic acid (vitamin C), maltodextrin, saccharin, aromatic substances.

The instruction for diabetics: 1 bag weighing 3 g of granulate corresponds 0,21 bread. piece.

Description: white homogeneous granulate with a smell and taste of a lemon and honey.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Acetylcysteinum has the effect liquefying a phlegm. Existence in structure of Acetylcysteinum of sulphhydryl groups promotes a rupture of disulfide bridges of acid mucopolysaccharides of a phlegm that leads to reduction of viscosity of slime. Drug keeps activity in the presence of a purulent phlegm.
At preventive use of Acetylcysteinum reduction of frequency and weight of aggravations at patients with chronic bronchitis and a mucoviscidosis is noted.

Indications to use:

The diseases of a respiratory organs which are followed by formation of the viscous hardly separated phlegm: acute and chronic bronchitis, obstructive bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasias, bronchial asthma, bronchiolites, mucoviscidosis.
Laryngitis, acute and chronic sinusitis, average otitis.

Route of administration and doses:

In the absence of other appointments it is recommended to adhere to the following dosages:

To adults and teenagers 14 years are more senior it is recommended to accept 3 times a day on 1 bag of AZZ (600 mg of Acetylcysteinum a day).

Children aged from 6 up to 14 years are recommended to accept 2 times a day on 1 bag of AZZ (2 times a day on 200 mg of Acetylcysteinum).

Cautions:

Due to the high content of active ingredient (200 mg of Acetylcysteinum in a bag) children under 6 years should not accept drug. In this case it is recommended to use drug AZZ in other dosage forms with lower maintenance of Acetylcysteinum.
Drug should be accepted after food.
Granulate is dissolved when stirring in 1 glass of hot water, and drunk, whenever possible, hot. It is in case of need possible to leave the prepared solution for 3 hours.

Mucoviscidosis:

To patients with a mucoviscidosis and with a body weight more than 30 kg increase in a dose up to 800 mg of Acetylcysteinum in day is in case of need possible.
To children 6 years are aged more senior it is recommended to accept 3 times a day on 1 bag of AZZ (600 mg of Acetylcysteinum a day).
 
Additional reception of liquid strengthens mucolytic effect of drug.
At sudden short-term catarrhal diseases duration of reception makes 5 - 7 days.
At chronic bronchitis and a mucoviscidosis drug it is necessary to accept longer time for achievement of preventive effect of infections.

Features of use:

Acetylcysteinum should be applied with care at patients inclined to pulmonary bleedings, a pneumorrhagia, and also at persons with diseases of a liver, kidneys, dysfunction of adrenal glands.
Patients with bronchial asthma and obstructive bronchitis should appoint Acetylcysteinum with care under systematic control of bronchial passability.
At treatment of patients with a diabetes mellitus it is necessary to consider that granulate contains sucrose. During the work with drug it is necessary to use glasswares, to avoid contact with metals, rubber, oxygen, easily oxidized substances.

Side effects:

In rare instances there are headaches, inflammations of a mucous membrane of a mouth (stomatitises) and a sonitus. Extremely seldom - a diarrhea, vomiting, heartburn and nausea. In isolated cases allergic reactions, such as spasms of respiratory tracts are observed (bronchospasm) (it is preferential at patients with hyperreactive bronchial system at bronchial asthma), falling of arterial pressure, increase in heart rate (tachycardia), skin rash, an itch and a small tortoiseshell. Besides, there are single messages on development of bleedings in connection with existence of hypersensitivity reactions.
At development of by-effects it is necessary to cancel administration of drug and to see a doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use of Acetylcysteinum and antibechics because of suppression of a tussive reflex there can be a dangerous stagnation of slime. Therefore similar combinations should be selected with care.
Acetylcysteinum synergism with bronchial spasmolytics is noted.
Pharmaceutical it is incompatible with antibiotics (penicillin, cephalosporins, erythromycin, tetracycline and Amphotericinum In) and proteolytic enzymes.
Reduces absorption of penicillin, cephalosporins, tetracycline (they should be accepted not earlier than in 2 hours after intake of Acetylcysteinum).
The concomitant use of Acetylcysteinum and glitseroltrinitrat (nitroglycerine) can lead to strengthening of vasodilating effect of nitroglycerine.
At contact with metals, rubber sulfides with a characteristic smell are formed.
These cautions should be observed also at short-term reception
drugs.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity in relation to Acetylcysteinum or others
to drug components. A peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in an aggravation stage; pneumorrhagia, pulmonary bleeding; pregnancy, feeding by a breast, children's age up to 6 years.

With care – a gullet varicosity, a pneumorrhagia, pulmonary bleeding, bronchial asthma, diseases of adrenal glands, a liver and/or renal failure.

Pregnancy and period of feeding by a breast:

In security measures, because of the insufficient number of data, purpose of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast it is possible only if the estimated advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the baby.

Overdose:

At wrong or deliberate overdose such phenomena as a diarrhea, vomiting, stomach aches, heartburn and nausea are observed. So far heavy and life-threatening by-effects were not observed.

Storage conditions:

Medicine period of validity: 5 years. It is not necessary to use medicine after the period of validity specified on packaging!
