Aqua Maris

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 30 ml of water of the Adriatic Sea with natural microelements.

Excipients: the water purified. Does not contain preservatives.

Presence of ions:
Na + - not less than 2,50 mg/ml;
Ca2 + - not less than 0,08 mg/ml;
Mg2 + - not less than 0,35 mg/ml;
Cl-not less than 5,50 mg/ml;
SO42-not less than 0,60 mg/ml;
HCO3 - - not less than 0,03 mg/ml.

Aqua Maris Spray is a natural drug, solution of water of the Adriatic Sea. Aqua Maris Spray is recommended for prevention of a SARS and flu, treatment of rhinitis (cold) and a rinosinusit at adults and children, daily hygiene of a nasal cavity.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The sterilized isotonic sea water promotes maintenance of a normal physiological condition of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity. Drug promotes fluidifying of slime and normalization of its development in scyphoid cells of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity. The microelements which are a part of drug improve function of a ciliary epithelium, render the antiinflammatory, clearing, stimulating, recovery action on a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity.

At allergic and vasculomotor rhinitises drug promotes washing off and removal of allergens and haptens with mucous a nose, to reduction of local inflammatory process. The Aqua Maris applied with the hygienic purposes promotes clarification mucous from the street and room dust which accumulated on it.

Indications to use:

- acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of a nasal cavity, adnexal bosoms and nasopharynx;
- adenoides;
- the postoperative period (after operations on a nasal cavity);
- allergic and vasculomotor rhinitises (especially at the persons predisposed or suffering from hypersensitivity to medicines including at pregnant women and in the period of a lactation);
- prevention and treatment as a part of complex therapy of infections of a nasal cavity during the autumn and winter period (including at pregnant women and in the period of a lactation);
- dryness of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity; saving physiological characteristics of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity in the changed microclimatic conditions - at the persons living and working in rooms with an artificial atmosphere and/or central heating; at people whose mucous membrane of upper respiratory tracts constantly is exposed to harmful effects (smokers, drivers of motor transport, people working in hot and dusty workshops, and also being in regions with severe climatic conditions).

Route of administration and doses:

Treatment:
Drop Aqua Maris nasal for children:
- to children from 1 day of life: 4 times a day on 2 drops in each nasal course;
Aqua Maris spray nasal dosed:
- to children from 1 to 7 years: 4 times a day on two injections in each nasal course;
- to children from 7 to 16 years: 4-6 times a day on two injections in each nasal course;
- adult: 4-8 times a day on two - three injections in each nasal course.

The course of treatment in all cases makes 2-4 weeks (to the discretion of the attending physician). It is recommended to repeat a course in a month.

Prevention:
Drop Aqua Maris nasal for children:
- to children from 1 day of life to carry out a toilet in the form of an instillation of drops Aqua Maris 2-3 times a day on 1-2 drops to each nasal course;
Aqua Maris spray nasal dosed:
- to children from 1 to 7 years: 1-3 times a day on one – two injections in each nasal course;
- to children from 7 to 16 years: 2-4 times a day on two injections in each nasal course;
- adult: 3-6 times a day on two - three injections in each nasal course.
For a softening and removal of the contaminating accumulations and nasal allocations:
- Aqua Maris is injected or dig in so much how many the situation demands in each nasal course, eliminating the following excess of liquid by means of cotton wool or a handkerchief.

The procedure can be repeated repeatedly until accumulations of the contaminating particles are not successfully softened and removed.

Features of use:

The newborn, in order to avoid risk of infection of a middle ear to dig in solution in a nasal cavity with care, with the minimum pressing a bottle.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

As drug does not make system impact on an organism, interaction with other medicines is noted. Use with other medicines used for treatment of cold is possible.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components. Children's age till 1 year (for spray of nasal dosed).

Overdose:

Cases of overdose are noted.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Period of validity. Spray nasal dosed - 3 years. Not to use after expiry date. To use within 45 days after opening of a bottle.

Drops nasal for children - 2 years. Not to use after expiry date. To use within 45 days after opening of a bottle.

Packaging:

Spray nasal dosed. On 30 ml (30, 36 g) of drug in the bottle from neutral glass of brown color supplied with the portioning device, a raspylitelny head and a protective cover from propylene. On one bottle with the application instruction place in a cardboard pack.

Drops nasal for children. On 10 ml of drug in a polyethylene bottle - a dropper with the corresponding screw cutting. On one bottle dropper with the application instruction place in a cardboard pack.
