Photobosoms

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 25, 50 or 100 mg of E6 chlorine of trinatriyevy salt.

Photobosoms it is intended for photodynamic therapy of malignant tumors and their diagnosis.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Active agent of a photobosom — E6 chlorine — selectively collects in malignant tumors and at local influence of light with the wavelength of 660 — 670 nanometers provides the photosensitizing effect leading to damage of tumoral fabric.

Photobosoms is high-informative diagnostic means at a spektroflyuorestsentny research.

Pharmacokinetics. After intravenous administration of a photobosom the maximum quantities of drug in a tumor are registered in 3 hours from the moment of introduction, then concentration of active agent slowly decreases.

In 24 h after intravenous administration of a photobosom in blood trace amounts of drug are found.

Photobosoms selectively collects in tumoral fabric, well gets through fabric and cellular barriers, it is found in a thymus gland, skin, marrow, a spleen, ovaries, adrenal glands, heart, a pancreas, a stomach, kidneys, a liver, lungs.

Indications to use:

It is applied to photodynamic therapy of malignant new growths, including a carcinoma cutaneum (planocellular and bazalnokletochny), a melanoma, a breast cancer and their intradermal metastasises, cancer of mucous membranes (a vulva, a gullet, a rectum, etc.). It is used for diagnosis of malignant new growths by a spektroflyuorestsentny method.

Route of administration and doses:

Apply intravenously in a dose 2,5 — 3,0 mg/kg of mass of the patient. The calculated dose of a photobosom is dissolved in 200 ml of normal saline solution and infuzirut intravenously kapelno within 30 minutes. In 3 — 4 hours after introduction of a photosensitizer hold a session of local radiation of a tumor in a dose of 100 — 600 J/cm2 for a session by means of the laser devices generating radiation with the wavelength of 660 — 670 nanometers.

Side effects:

The main by-effects arising at photodynamic therapy with use of a photobosom are fervescence and pains in a radiation zone which are stopped by introduction of analgetics. Increase in the ABP at patients with associated diseases of cardiovascular system is possible.

Photobosoms at introduction in therapeutic doses has poorly expressed system phototoxicity. In the first week after administration of drug at disturbance of a light status at patients the hyperemia and hypostasis of open surfaces can develop (without pigmentation).

Interaction with other medicines:

Perhaps combined use with analgetics. Use of mestnoanesteziruyushchy drugs is not recommended (infiltration anesthesia).

Purpose of antioxidants, the drugs "Biyen", "Reparef-2" promotes early epithelization of wound defect, strengthening of growth of connecting fabric, decrease in a pain syndrome.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug, the expressed renal or liver failure, cardiovascular diseases in a decompensation phase, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age.

Overdose:

Symptoms: the short wind, tachycardia, increase in arterial pressure, excitement which are replaced by oppression, a hypothermia.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy (there is no specific antidote).
