Photobosoms

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: trinatriyevy salt of chlorine e6 (in the form of trinatriyevy salt of chlorine e6 and polyvinylpirrolidone low-molecular medical 12600±2700) – 50 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

In the conditions of local application has the selection photosensitizing effect on pathological fabrics and cells (superficial high-quality and malignant new growths of various genesis and morphological structure, a cell of microorganisms and so forth) and at local influence of light with the wavelength of 660-670 nanometers provides generation of the molecules of singlet oxygen having cytotoxic effect. Ointment Fotolon is also high-informative diagnostic means at a spektrofluorestsentny research.

Indications to use:

In oncology: photodynamic therapy of a basal cell carcinoma of skin of T1N0M0 or TisN0M0 (single or multicentric, including sklerodermopodobny and fibroepitelialny, or preinvazivny basal and cellular carcinoma of in situ) with sizes of centers up to 2х2 cm.

- diagnosis of malignant new growths by a spektrofluorestsentny method.

In stomatology: photodynamic therapy of diseases of a periodontium, including chronic simple marginal ulitis, chronic idle time and difficult periodontitis.

Route of administration and doses:

In oncology: Ointment Fotolon is applied directly on the tumoral center of 0,3 ml on 1 cm2 after pretreatment of the last 2% - ny solution of peroxide of hydrogen. In 15 minutes the applied ointment is washed away spirit solution and carry out photoradiation of the center of tumoral growth by light with the wavelength of 660-670 nanometers at the density of radiation energy of 100-150 J/cm2 and with a density of power up to 400 MW/cm2. The described procedure repeats 4-multiply during one session of photodynamic therapy with Ointment Fotolon. The total density of the energy brought to a tumor for 1 session makes 400-600 J/cm2.

In stomatology: Ointment Fotolon is applied on struck mucous a periodontium at the rate of 0,1 ml on 1 cm2. Further, by means of a brush or a gladilka it is evenly distributed on a mucosal surface and brought in a cavity of dentogingival pockets. As criterion of correctness of putting ointment serves formation of a thin uniform translucent film. Time of exposure of ointment makes 7-10 minutes. Then the mucosal surface of a periodontium is trained the laser from a long wave of 660-670 nanometers at the density of power of the radiation of 150 MW/cm2 and density of energy of 50 J/cm2.

As a source of radiation use the therapeutic laser device with the wavelength of 660±670 nanometers providing the required power of radiation.

Features of use:

During influence by the laser the doctor and the patient have to use goggles with the light filter absorbing the radiation of 662±3 nanometers. For stopping of pain reactions use local anesthetics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. In case of strongly expressed pain syndrome use of narcotic analgetics according to indications is allowed.

Side effects:

During application of ointment on affected areas of skin and mucous perhaps passing feeling of easy burning which is not demanding medicamentous correction. In the course of holding a session of FDT and directly after treatment fervescence and pains in a radiation zone (are stopped by analgeziruyushchy drugs), increase in arterial pressure at patients with associated diseases of cardiovascular system is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Fotolon with other medicines is not present data on Ointment interaction now.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of drug components, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age.

Overdose:

At medicine use Ointment Fotolon the phenomena of overdose are improbable. Specific symptoms of overdose are not established. There is no specific antidote. In case of suspicion on overdose performing detoksikatsionny and symptomatic therapy is shown.
