General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: pink liquid;

Active ingredient: 1 ml contains 2,0 mg of Hlorfenamin of a maleate, 2,5 mg of Phenylephrinum of a hydrochloride

excipients: sucrose, sorbitol solution, propylene glycol, dinatrium эдетат, the benzoic acid, extract of raspberry, sodium hydroxide, dye кармоизин, the water purified.

Drops for oral administration with fruit taste.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Fenilefrin - sympathomimetic Aminophyllinum that causes narrowing of blood vessels by stimulation of the a-adrenoceptors located on post-capillary vessels and cavernous-venous sine of a mucous membrane of a nose. Narrowing of blood vessels reduces a krovenapolneniye of a mucous membrane of a nasopharynx and causes, thus, long reduction of its hypostasis.

Chlorpheniramine a maleate - H1 receptors blocker. Possesses antiallergic action,

reduces manifestations of exudation. Causes moderately expressed sedation.

Pharmacokinetics. Fenilefrin is quickly soaked up in digestive tract. It is distributed on various fabrics and liquids, metabolized with participation of MAO in an intestinal wall and in a liver. It is removed with urine in not changed.

Chlorpheniramine a maleate is well soaked up in digestive tract. The maximum concentration in a blood plasma is reached in 1 - 4 hour after the use through a mouth. It passes through a placenta and was defined in breast milk. Has the high level of linkng with proteins of plasma, it is completely metabolized in an organism and removed generally with urine in the form of metabolites.

Indications to use:

Developments of stagnation in a nose; cold which is followed by a rhinorrhea, dacryagogue, continuous sneezing;

Infectious and allergic nasopharyngites, pollinosis (hay fever), acute and chronic diseases of upper respiratory tracts: rhinitises, sinusitis, pharyngitises.

Route of administration and doses:

The graduated pipette is in packaging.

from 1 year to 3 years of 0,5 ml;

from 3 to 6 years: 1,0 ml;

from 6 to 12 years: 1,5 ml;

of 12 years and adult: the dose is established individually - 1,5 - 2 ml.

Use inside 3 times a day. Maximum term of treatment: 4 - 5 days.

Features of use:

Sympathomimetic it is necessary to appoint Aminophyllinum carefully at hypertensia, a diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, a hyperthyroidism, the raised intraocular pressure and a hypertrophy of a prostate. Sympathomimetic Aminophyllinum can cause dysfunction of TsNS and a spasm or cardiovascular insufficiency, followed by hypotension.

During treatment it is necessary not to take the alcohol or sedative drugs (especially barbiturates) increasing sedative effect of antihistaminic drugs (Hlorfenamin).

If the disease is caused by a bacterial infection, parallel treatment is recommended by antibiotics.

At administration of drug the patient has to avoid driving, work with mechanisms and other potentially dangerous types of activity.

At administration of drug it is forbidden to take alcohol!

Pregnancy and lactation: not to apply in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Side effects:

Despite the fact that, chlorpheniramine has smaller the calming action, than other antihistaminic drugs, at sensitive patients drowsiness can be observed. Other side effects: dizziness, a headache, sleeplessness, nervousness, anticholinergic effect (for example dryness in a mouth, a throat, decrease in visual acuity and gastrointestinal disturbances).

Side reaction on Phenylephrinum: tachycardia, nervousness, sleeplessness, concern, headache, irritation of a stomach and irritability. Sympathomimetic Aminophyllinum is connected with certain by-effects: fears, uneasiness, tension, the concern, a tremor, weakness, pallor complicated speeches, a dysuria, hallucinations, spasms, oppression TsNS, arrhythmia and cardiovascular insufficiency with hypotension.

Interaction with other medicines:

Due to the maintenance of Phenylephrinum: not to use drug with other sympathomimetic substances or with MAO inhibitors because of risk of hypertensia.

Due to Hlorfenamin's keeping: the depressor of the central nervous system (hypnotic means, anesthetics) strengthens action.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to one of drug components.

Narrow angle glaucoma, risk of an ischuria in connection with diseases of an urethra and prostate, the heavy course of a hypertension, disease of the coronary arteries, to patients taking a therapy course MAO (MAO) inhibitors.

Children's age - till 1 year.

Overdose:

Overdose symptoms: sleep disorder, extreme fatigue, perspiration, itch, rash, ischuria, tremor, slow heartbeat, tachycardia or coma.

Treatment carry out symptomatic therapy. The hemodialysis is inefficient.

Storage conditions:

To store at the room temperature (15 - 25 °C), in protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after expiry date!
