Hexaspray

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: biclotymol of 750 mg

Excipient: oil anisic.

Pharmacological properties:

Hexaspray — antiseptic, analgeziruyushchy, antiinflammatory drug.
Biclotymol is fenolproizvodny substance with antibacterial activity concerning stafilokokk, streptococci, micrococci and korinebakteriya. Coagulates proteins of a microbic cell. Also has antiinflammatory and analgeziruyushchy effect.
Drug is very slowly soaked up through a mucous membrane that provides its long presence at an oral cavity.

Indications to use:

Topical treatment at infectious and inflammatory diseases of an oral cavity and nasopharynx — quinsy, pharyngitis, aphthous stomatitis, an ulitis, periodontosis.

Route of administration and doses:

Hexaspray is applied locally. At irrigation of an oral cavity the bottle should be held in vertical position. Before use it needs to be stirred up.
To adults and children aged> 2,5 years appoint 2 sprayings 3 times a day. The course of treatment is defined individually.

Features of use:

Drug use> can cause 5 days disturbance of normal microflora of an oral cavity.
Simultaneous use of other antiseptic agents should be excluded as perhaps undesirable interaction (antagonism, an inactivation).
If the condition of the patient worsened, in particular body temperature increased or for 5 days did not come improvements, it is necessary to conduct repeated examination and to change treatment tactics.
Period of pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Adequate and well controlled researches of safety of use of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast did not carry out.
Children. Drug is not used at children aged <2,5 years.
Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with mechanisms. Does not influence.

Side effects:

Manifestations of allergic reactions, including hypostasis of lips, urticaria, skin rash, an erythema, a Quincke's disease are in some cases possible. As drug contains methylparahydroxybenzoate and soy lecithin, development of allergic reactions in certain groups of patients is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Are not described.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug, age <2,5 years (risk of development of a laryngospasm).

Overdose:

Due to the insignificant absorption the overdose is improbable; in isolated cases strengthening of manifestations of side reactions is possible.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature not above 25 °C.
