Iodine solution of spirit 5% with a cover shovel of 10 ml

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient:

- Iodine of 5 g 
- Potassium of iodide of 20 g
- Alcohol of ethyl 95% and the water purified equally to 1 l.

Pharmacological properties:

Drug contains elementary iodine which has antimicrobic effect. When drawing renders irritant action on skin and mucous membranes and can cause reflex changes in activity of an organism. Iodine influences lipidic and protein metabolism. At use of drugs of iodine for patients with atherosclerosis the tendency to decrease in cholesterol in blood and to increase in litsetin-cholesteric coefficient is observed, also some reduction of contents - lipoproteids is observed. Under the influence of drugs of iodine lipoproteinazny and fibrinolitic activity of blood increases, coagulability of blood decreases a little.

Indications to use:

Apply outwardly as antiseptic, irritating and a revulsive at inflammatory and other diseases of skin and mucous membranes. As the revulsive is applied also at a miositis, neuralgia.
Inside apply to prevention of atherosclerosis

Route of administration and doses:

To apply outwardly in the form of greasings on the unimpaired surface or put in the form of a grid (at a miositis and neuralgia)
Inside appoint for prevention of atherosclerosis: from 1 to 10 thaws 1-2 times a day courses up to 30 days 2-3 times a year, for treatment of atherosclerosis - till 10-12 drops 3 times a day. Solution is accepted in milk after food.
To children 5 years are more senior appoint in 5% solution on 3-5 drops to reception 2-3 times a day; to children up to 5 years do not appoint.

Contraindications:

As contraindications to use of drugs of iodine inside serve the pulmonary tuberculosis, nephrites, nefroza, a furunculosis, acne rash, a chronic pyoderma, hemorrhagic diathesis, a small tortoiseshell, pregnancy, hypersensitivity to iodine.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity: 3 years. To use not later than the date specified on packaging.
