General characteristics. Structure:

5 ml of suspension contain:
Active ingredient: нифуроксазид 200,0 mg
Excipients: sucrose of 1000,0 mg, sodium hydroxide of 2,0 mg, methylparahydroxybenzoate of 5,0 mg, ethanol of 96% 0,05 ml, carbomer 10,5mg, citric acid 0,75mg, fragrance banana 10,00mg, water to 5,0 ml

Description. Suspension of yellow color with a banana smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Antimicrobic broad-spectrum agent, derivative 5 nitrofurans.
It is supposed that antimicrobic activity of a nifuroksazid is caused by existence in its structure of NO2 group which causes oppression of activity of a dehydrogenase and breaks protein synthesis in pathogenic bacteriums.
It is active concerning gram-positive microorganisms (Streptococcus aureus, Staphylococcus pyogenes, Clostridium), gram-negative enterobakteriya (Escherihia coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Vibrio cholerae, Campylobacter jejuni, Edwarsiella, Citrobacter, Yersinia enterocolitica).
Nifuroksazid has no effect on saprophytic flora, does not break balance of a normal indestinal flora. At acute bacterial diarrhea recovers эубиоз intestines. At infection with enterotropic viruses interferes with development of bacterial superinfection.

Pharmacokinetics. After oral administration нифуроксазид it is practically not soaked up from a digestive tract, and has the antibacterial effect only in an intestines gleam. It is completely removed through digestive tract. Speed of elimination depends both on a drug dose, and on motility of an intestinal path.

Indications to use:

Diarrhea of bacterial genesis;
The chronic gastrointestinal tract diseases of a bacterial etiology which are followed by the dispeptic phenomena.

Route of administration and doses:

It is applied inside.
For dosing the dosing spoon of 5 ml having graduation of 2,5 ml is used.
Before the use suspension needs to be stirred up well.
Children of 1-6 months: 2,5 ml 2-3 times a day (with an interval from 8 to 12 hours).
Children from 7 months to 2 years: 2,5 ml 4 times a day (with an interval of 8 hours).
Children from 3 to 7 years: 5 ml 3 times a day (with an interval of 8 hours).
Children are more senior than 7 years and adults: 5 ml 3-4 times a day (with an interval of 6-8 hours).

Therapy nifuroksazidy should not continue more than 7 days.

Features of use:

At treatment of diarrhea along with therapy nifuroksazidy it is necessary to carry out rehydration therapy (peroral or intravenous) according to a condition of the patient and intensity of diarrhea.
Use of alcohol is forbidden during therapy nifuroksazidy.
Before purpose of suspension babies need to exclude at them inborn deficit of the enzymes splitting sucrose.

Influence on ability to manage vehicles and to work with mechanisms
Drug does not influence psychomotor activity and ability to manage transport and to work with mechanisms.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting.

Interaction with other medicines:

There are no data on what нифуроксазид enters interaction with other medicines.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to derivatives of nitrofuran or other components of drug;
• Intolerance of fructose;
• Syndrome of glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption, insufficiency of invertase and isomaltase;
• The neonatality period (up to 1 month), prematurity.
Use at pregnancy and a lactation
Use of the drug Enterofuril® at pregnancy is possible only in cases when the expected advantage of therapy for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit.
Энтерофурил® it is not absorbed from digestive tract and does not get to system blood circulation, however use of drug in the period of a lactation is possible only according to strict indications, at the same time it is necessary to resolve an issue of the breastfeeding termination.

Overdose:

Drug is not absorbed from digestive tract and does not get to system blood circulation. Symptoms of overdose are not known. In case of exceeding of a dose the gastric lavage and a symptomatic treatment is recommended.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature ot15 ° to 30 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. The opened bottle has to be stored no more than 7 days. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use after a period of validity.

Suspension for intake of 200 mg / 5мл.
On 90 ml in the bottle of dark glass corked by an aluminum cover with control of the first opening. Each bottle together with the application instruction and a measured spoon is placed in a cardboard pack.
